I wouldn't necessarily say any of that is proof, but what were the statements made about the "genderlock"? I know there'll be someone out there complaining about that term. I really hate semantics sometimes.

Maybe it is the wrong way to go about things, but I think it's harmless to spitball ideas. Sometimes I muse on about how I'd rather have male viera than say... another mini game like lord of vermilion or even another limited job like BLU. I mean, it's fine to disagree so

Yep. Hyur are great! I'm mostly waiting on completing the MSQ in 5.0 to figure out which flavour of Hyur (Hume?) I want to play next. I quite like Raen/Xaela too so that's something else I can fall back on as an additional option.

...and yes, that stubble really needs to be added as an option. Especially with the benchmark teasing it.

On this occasion though the issue was specifically framed that way, i.e. the poster stated they don't want male Viera added because content would be slowed or cut as a result. That could happen depending on how SE go about it, but 1) the way in which they prioritise which content to develop means not everything is as likely to see development on it halted (raids and dungeons, for example, are not at all likely candidates) and they're likely to rationalise this on the cost-benefit of the feature in question and 2) it can be readily circumvented by increasing the game's budget, especially if adding the missing genders would prove profitable.

So my advice to those wanting the missing genders added is that it'd be best to simply redirect the discussion to those points, rather than arguing on the premise that something must be cut.

I'm always intrigued as to why Eureka comes up first. Yes, it was unpopular when it opened, but the changes made following Pagos have improved player engagement with it significantly.

That's all fine and dandy, but why strike back at them saying that you want content cut so you can get the other genders? That's the wrong way to go about it and it makes this thread look bad. It gives naysayers another thing to latch on to. I would rather SE wait until they have the perfect time and resources to invest in them and avoid anyone worrying about content being cut from an expansion. That's the ideal situation.

If I was to ever play a male character in this game it would be a midlander Hyur, but definitely not until they add increased customization. Like that stubble, height increase, and maybe more bulk (not as big as highlander). Otherwise female forever.

Just let me slap Viera/Tsukiyomi ears on my main dude - that doesn't look like they came out of a Christmas cracker and I'd probably be the picture perfect scenario of a baby that was calmed with a pacifier until something else knarks me off. Oh, and the WoD beard.

Obviously a joke, but I'd still be soothed in the way of glamour for a little while fixing an issue with the equivalent of a bandaid until they release the real thing - if they do.

Yes, I'm more or less saying the same thing. It's something the development team need to make a decision on and it's not an inevitability that things would need to be cut.

Quite a lot of people went through the full Eureka experience, though. Even right not all four of the maps are bustling with activity - and that's just on Crystal.

And I'm betting quite a lot of people will want to experience the game as a male viera and/or female hrothgar.

Completely subjective and a slippery slope. Let's not beat around the bush here - some of the people pushing for the missing genders are over-invested and care little for who or what they throw under the bus in order to get what they desire.

Yeah, I'd like the option for more bulk! Something closer to a Highlander in terms of muscle definition would be wonderful. Not as bulky, but more than what is currently available. When I commissioned art of my character I asked for a bit more muscle than the character models allow for. I like how the Warrior of Light is depicted in the cinematics as he's given more definition there too.
