Kinda why i don't post anywhere as often anymore just not worth talking with some people if all they are going to do is shut down, not disagree, shut down there is a difference.

How about a new take on the discussion? What jobs could be tied to Male Viera? I could see something like a short spear and Shield tank or maiming dps Hunter.

Possibly a dual sword wielding Rogue/ Assassin/ Ranger/ type fighter, something to the effect of Dritzz.

I picture male Viera as the FFTA Sniper/Hunter. Using the bow to hunt from afar, impeccable markmanship and remaining unseen unless they absolutely need to close in for the kill.
P.S. Helps that the Sniper was a Viera exclusive job, too![]()
I completely understand that. Your responses hear are always so reasonable though. At least from what I've seen. Hard to believe anyone gets mad at you.![]()
I'm asking you to make the case as to why they should. "Why shouldn't they" isn't an answer to my question and as I said before, I don't consider quota-filling to be a particularly good reason, either. The fact that some people want "X" is not a good reason in and of itself to take the artistic direction of Hrothgar females in that route, especially when Ronso already present an example of how the females look, and it's not hugely different from Roe women.
If it gets to the point where the females are just males with a female gender icon on character selection, you may as well just play a male and put the gender in the search info. Saves on design costs, too.
It's an internet forum and not a classroom where you have to put up your hand to speak. I would suggest individuals who waver in the face of what amounts to a fairly minor and civil verbal disagreement ought to acquire sturdier exteriors.
I'd also argue that a more accurate statement is that some people are put off from participating in the thread over the disagreements, because I've yet to really see a player forego an option they'd like to see simply because some people disagree over it... I'd also consider that to be an immensely fragile standard to hold things towards. Lastly, I would venture a guess that those claiming to "withdraw" support - who actually have an intention to play the race - will do so all the same, and SE know this, thus the implicit threats about how they won't happen if some people simply disagree over the topic are a wash. Whenever I hear this line of reasoning surface I have to wonder if it's an attempt to control the terms of the discussion through an implicit "withholding" threat. I'll agree that the thread is quite cyclical but until SE release further news as to their intentions, that is inevitable, but I consider it folly to spite one's own nose simply due to the actions of others.
Just my two cents.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
I do not agree, I already largely dislike the extreme dimorphism between male and female au ra, I feel as if they should have either made the males smaller to match the female au ra like male miqo'te or made the females larger and less childlike like female roe's or highlander.
It is for these reasons that i do not think the male viera should be smaller, if the females were small then there would be a case but the female viera are already quite tall and their lore implies their mating, I would find it personally off putting if the males were significantly smaller than the females in the same way I find the male and female au ra dimorphism off putting.
In a similar way I would want the female hrothgar to be as tall and fierce as the males.

They should've just made the females closer to a Highlander female build, in the case of Au Ra. I am quite pleased with the way the males are built, barring the lack of a muscle tone slider.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
Female au ra should've gotten either female higlander or female roegadyn build. Female hrotgar should look either like this:
or like this imo:
Charr is an amazing beastial race, better than the hrotgar race imo (because of 4 legged walk, more unique faces, more bestial appearance etc) but what I like the most about them is that there's close to no sexual dysphormism. This also helps them with resources
That is why I find this a little confusing. That one is more like a Highlander than a Roegadyn, but you're saying even Roegadyn women are too feminine. That said, I do like her design.
Having looked at the Ronso female concept art, they do look quite similar to female Roes, much like Hrothgar men share a physique with male Roes:
To me either looks perfectly appropriate.
