Viera females are Victoria's secret model sized warriors and they are powerful and deadly.
player base: I accept this!
other members of the player base: Maybe the men can be equally thin and a little smaller. It is a female run society so having the females be the muscle could be cute.
player base: no!!!! that doesn't make sense?! How can they be fierce warriors with out GIANT MUSCLES!!!! Kill who ever dare say that!!
Please don't rage.....I am only joking and trying to have fun with the situation.

Stop it, you're making people smile
Female Viera are actually point for point as muscular as highlander women, and are even taller at that. They're well built and broad shouldered. They're just more poised.Viera females are Victoria's secret model sized warriors and they are powerful and deadly.

They kind of remind me of Korra
Ironically, you can make a viera that resembles season 1-3 korra

I'm not really buying this concept that it's a female-run society if men aren't even a part in the villages or society. If anything the viera live in separate but mutually beneficial societies. The men aren't told what to do or ruled by the women of the villages since they don't live in them. And if they're off living on their own, it makes more sense that the men are athletic and powerful, something you'd need to be if you're expected to survive on your own in the wild. Being small and diminutive would make sense only if the males are subject to the women in the villages. Or at least that's they way I would see it.Viera females are Victoria's secret model sized warriors and they are powerful and deadly.

Yeah, haha - like I know he's supposedly joking but from what I read in the lore. Yes, a woman is in control - and the spirit is a female. But it's the men who take up the mantle of protecting the village, or rather they're forced to do it. They are not even part of the village or society. They are outside of it, satellites that basically that go from village to village, or rather 'around' them. While females in the wood are stuck to one village, the males are not.I'm not really buying this concept that it's a female-run society if men aren't even a part in the villages or society. From what I gather the only person in control of the males is the wood spirit they worship, not the matriarch.
Also, this made me groan hard 'female run society so having the females be the muscle could be cute' - ScreaminggggGggGgGGGViera females are Victoria's secret model sized warriors and they are powerful and deadly.

This got me thinking - how many children do male viera mentor? They come down to the village and take the male children who are of age. What age is that? Around 10-13 or something?
While the male viera are out and about, they also need to mentor the children, as well as take care of them. I'm going to guess male viera have more than just hunting and defending the wood to deal with. We assume all male viera do is defend the wood, but there seems to be more to it than that. They teach and care for the young ones, too. Depending how many children they take under their wing, it almost seems like a lot of babysitting.

Considering that most of those children end up dying; well - it makes me wonder how much watching they do. Or do they just go 'go hunt for food if you don't succeed, you starve.' or 'Go survive a few days on your own, if you can't - well, you're dead.' Do they actually bond with their charges? Are they cold and distant as they know that most of them will perish? The more I think about it the more I think they're ice kings who are extremely distant. And if they are caring and the likes... god bless them for having to go through that multiple of times - and perhaps even with their own sons and not just running away from it all. This got me thinking - how many children do male viera mentor? Something something, Piccolo training with Gohan but much worse.

Viera don't procreate often, likely due to their longevity. (we learn that they can live at least 3 times as long as elezen can somewhere along the MSQ, and elezen can live up to 200 years iirc). So babysitting is probably not a huge part of their job. This got me thinking - how many children do male viera mentor? They come down to the village and take the male children who are of age. Viera men stick together and defend the borders of their homelands from beasts and people alike, only rarely coming back into the female settlements for either trade or procreation. It's a rather time consuming gig, i gather. Their lore is a slightly more intense version of the Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te males.
