    My isn't take is that "the game is too easy", but the skill floor remains too low at higher levels, players are allowed to under perform for too long without repercussion. Casual players shouldn't need to be challenged, but some sure need to be asked how their job works by the time they deck themselves in full Scavean gear.

    It's OK that you want to have a relaxing time, just please pull your punches and don't make dungeons take more than half an hour.

    Vanilla's longevity was mainly down to things not being balanced and like you say above being made to wait for everything. Imagine if while running Binding Coil your bard has to leave to get more arrows but the nearest vendor is in Ul'dah and there's no teleporting.

    The money is in the casual player. Thought that was obvious. That being said I'm extremely excited for Eden Savage. I'm really hoping MCH and DNC have great synergy in regards to the dance partners.

    playing 1.0 to now, I'd say HW increased difficulty in all categories from 1.0/2.0
    SB may be considered easier than HW, but only by a small fraction.
    If anything I was suprised they increased difficulty in the more casual content.

    The main things to be really effected in "made too easy" are healers.
    Thats mostly it really. (the small exception of taking the most complex tank, and making it the least complex tank, and the other 2 being medium complexity, in comparison. and having RDM being easiest, followed by having SAM being mostly easier than the other melee.)

    As soon as I read the title, my 1st thought was, the OP must be a healer, to be now saying anything about difficulty. (sure enough...)

    When a dungeon run is too cold, I simply /poke a cat and I get a /pet back. That is a sure way to break the ice.. :-)

    FFXIV already has a nice progression of difficulty from dungeon to normal trial/raid to alliance raid to extreme trial to savage raid to ultimate. If people want more difficult light party content, I'd rather they bring back light party trial than some kind of extreme mode for dungeon, and certainly not some kind of mythic+ style race-against-time dungeon run.

    Why does it always seem like the ones complaining the most about "Casualbringers" and "too many casual things" are always the ones who haven't done much of/any of the difficult content in the game.
