Indeed they do. I am waiting to hear on this post from the DEV's why not? what would it take? How much time? Let's get it done!See... I keep reading that they have no way to register you are on your own property, yet people cant come onto your property and use things like the fountains and lights. So somewhere the game has to realise who have rights to be there and who dosent right? Or am i wrong here...

"The OP’s argument is to have idling within the yard be enough—meaning they wouldn’t be interacting with the plot via fixtures or gardens. If something like interacting with a garden or a chocobo stable reset the timer, fine. " 100% agreed with what i really stated. My subject title is "Click bait", context includes outside doing stuff like on your lawn should count. Thanks for finally understanding. We can move on now !-_-!As far as I can recall, the only interactive outdoor items are mailboxes, message stands, chocobo stables, and gardens. I don’t recall any fountains or light fixtures that can be placed outside that are interactive. Anyone can come and water your plants (they can’t harvest your plants, but they can tend to them) and access your message book—but these people do not reset timers of any kind (not even tenants with permissions in personal houses reset the demolition timer—only the owner can).
People cannot interact with a chocobo stable unless they’re a tenant or an FC member with the appropriate privileges, and all FC members and tenants can interact with a mailbox. The same restrictions apply to indoor fixtures—FC members have to have appropriate permissions to interact with housing items (last I checked), and only tenants can interact with interactive indoor furnishings should they be given permission to mess around with them. Random players cannot.
The OP’s argument is to have idling within the yard be enough—meaning they wouldn’t be interacting with the plot via fixtures or gardens. If something like interacting with a garden or a chocobo stable reset the timer, fine. But I still think an easier solution to not losing your house would be to actually go into and utilize the house itself. You only have to step inside for 5 seconds once every 45 days to keep it.
For me, it wouldn’t happen. Because I go into my house every day.
"I don’t recall any fountains or light fixtures that can be placed outside that are interactive."
Confirmed, The Leviathan fountain (owned) and fire pits (owned) are interactive.

Why though? Why waste dev-time on - any amount of time - when we have a system in place that already achieves something similar at very, very little cost for the playerbase? If you can enter your yard, you can go that little step further and enter your house. Takes 30 seconds max, which seems a very, very reasonable effort to me.
I dare say that it doesnt matter how much dev-time would be needed to change this because its a change that isnt needed. The benefit to the (educated) player is so, so minimal that it really doesnt seem worth the effort to me...
Better warning-system with a pop-up message - sure, that should be easy enough. And if said message even clearly states that you need to step inside your house - why not do that? Why create a new system when we have a working one? (And yes, the system is working for everyone who plays by those rules. Rules that are totally reasonable, specially when applied to someone whos able to pay a sub, log in, teleport to their house and hang out in their yard. Going that little step further and click that door once in 45 days is such a minor inconvenience to the player that I'm not even sure I'd call it an inconvenience...)
If you want to present a decent argument, don’t use clickbaity titles. Simple."The OP’s argument is to have idling within the yard be enough—meaning they wouldn’t be interacting with the plot via fixtures or gardens. Okay, then I stand corrected if this is true (I don’t own either of these, nor do I feel like going out of my way to confirm this). However, my argument of just go into your house still stands. Just go into your house. If you aren’t going into it, you aren’t actually using it. So let someone else who will actually go into the house once every 45 days use it. You still have your FC house, which you stated that you used for everything anyways. Stick with it and let this thread die—it’s not a very well-worded or well thought out suggestion thread."I don’t recall any fountains or light fixtures that can be placed outside that are interactive."
Confirmed, The Leviathan fountain (owned) and fire pits (owned) are interactive.
You’ll also be waiting a long time for a developer response. They rarely respond directly to threads on NA forums.

I agree that the timer isn't visible or annoying enough. They can stick a UI bit on the screen that asks you if you want to teleport but not one to remind you about your house? Ehh. Not a problem for me as I enter my house and FC house daily, but I still find it shocking that the timer is stuck on a tab I'd never seen before.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
I find statements like these troubling. Its like you are saying he isnt useing his house when clearly... He was. He made the outside look the way he wanted and goes there to relax, that is in no way NOT useing the house... Just not useing it in a way you would. Maybe he has no interest in crafting or setting up the crafting stations in house or maybe he dosent have the air ship or sub. To be frank, there really isnt much to go into the house outside of those things. Hell, i hate the fact that you cant que for a dungeon and spawn back in your house afterwards, maybe he hates that as well and just chills outside his home. People use their house for many diffrent reasons and peoplr shouldnt judge him for how he uses it by saying things like "well you arent useing it right and someone else would appreciate it more" essentially. If you want to present a decent argument, don’t use clickbaity titles. Simple.

But someone who wanted a house in order to use the inside of it, would be using and appreciating it more...
What they need then, is gardens, separate form houses.
How do you go to your house everyday for 45 days and not enter it once? Sorry op but this is on you the rules are clear about having to enter you house it isn't the dev teams fault you didn't bother to read them fully
