Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

What would be cool however, would be to add stuff like some of my art, and some of the other poster's art on how they envision male viera, and add those to the OP. I got quite a few likes on my past piece, and having it there would be really cool, and a really big compliment. Not just my art either, a lot of users here have posted equally cool stuff!

I think this is an excellent suggestion. It helps eliminate bias, too.

The OP does have some previous fan art, and I just think it would be really cool for showing the community here coming together and having some of their art pieces added to the thread. It really would feel amazing. I can personally attest to the amount of effort, and thought, I put into my art, and I'm sure other users here put just as much, maybe even more in their work! It just would be something that I know would make a lot of the artists here smile, and even if everyone's visions of male viera may vary, it is overall a community thing, and shows SE just how excited users here are about the idea of male viera!

I think the Hrothgar looks very cool! I'm hoping that we'll see a lot of success with them so that Yoshi-P might be inclined to give male viera a nice amount of muscle. I've been spotting a lot more male raen and xaela around in recent months, too.

My point is, you guys just want Viera to be Eleze 2.0: Elezen done right. They didn't do that with female Viera and they shouldn't do it for male Viera.

As someone who has always really liked the idea of playing an Elezen, but then instantly regrets the fantasia, Viera are definitely a bit of "Elezen done right" to me.

I've always wanted them to have softer/rounder features (like Aymeric & the twins), better proportions, and perhaps remove that stick from their bums while they run.

Insert Viera! They've got the height and the more serious personalities like Elezen, but they were able to remedy the things I didn't like about Elezen.

Now obviously these are different races, and I feel that they do look/act different enough to not be a problem - but when you compare the two side by side, it's not a MASSIVE difference. If they gave male Viera the same type of "upgrade", I think that could work quite well.

Just a couple of examples for you:



These aren't perfect comparisons - the first picture was taken with both of their faces looking straight at the camera. The stances are a bit different, so I think it's a bit harder to gauge from this angle. For the second set, I had the clever idea to make skin/hair match better, and also tried to have their navels in the center in order to get a more accurate shape comparison. Again, not perfect, but at least will give an idea

I....honestly didn't think they'd look that similar side by side...if I didn't know better, I would've thought you just photoshopped a Viera head over an Elezen o.o
