Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Didn't they acknowledge that genderlock was an issue in 1.0, and then gave us other options in ARR? And now there's some new additions, but they didn't outright say there won't ever be other genders, right? There's still a chance for them somewhere down the line. He also said Viera were likely the last race, and then out of the blue we got Hrothgar, which is awesome that they went through so much just for us. Really hoping on some lady cats, but until then I'll be satisfied with Viera girls.

There is still a chance yes. But the problem is every new race is a huge commitment on the side of the design team since it adds more constant work for them to do with each new ingame item that interacts on a visual level with the characters. Every new Race is another model necessary for every single piece of armor currently out there and to come. They're basically saying that they are willing to try it if circumstances allow, but also admitting those circumstances are unlikely.

I’ve been playing with the benchmark character creation making Viera I think aren’t too feminine. It’s working out well and I’m thankful that I can make them look like pretty boys.

Going by what Yoshi P has said, I picture them proportioned somewhat like Elezen guys, except a bit less lanky, less taller as well but with awesome looking, long and untamed hairstyles.

I think if male viera are added, they should be tall, fairly well-built and handsome in the same vein as conventional male standards of attractiveness.

You're channeling your inner hyur now Theodric. I'd rather they not turn out to be what you describe, what you describe is what this already is.
We don't need male Viera to look the same, we already have this race


Instead they should be more wild, more jungly. Exactly like the concept artwork.

Hien's well suited for inspiration given that he is both ruggedly handsome and classically handsome. I don't care much for Aymeric's aesthetics. I don't want male viera to have a 'pretty boy' base design. I don't want them to be ugly for the sake of looking 'savage' either. It's a delicate balance.

Hien has a stocky, muscular physique and classically handsome features. Aymeric is tall and with delicate features. If the intention is to have them resemble 'fierce warriors' then it makes more sense for them to be closer to Hien than Aymeric in my opinion. Taller, of course.

Got my new tablet pen today, decided to do a quick sketch in support of the thread. Within the scope of the forums at least, these statistics are not a "vocal minority" and it would be absurd to call male viera supporters as such. No matter what, make your voices heard
