    No, thank you.
I'd rather have them come up with original stories and content that fit into the narrative of FFXIV because its written for FFXIV instead of forcing something established into the game for the sake of it.
And I could also imagine that FFVII-Fans who dont play FFXIV and have no intrest in playing an MMO would be rather upset to learn that in order to experience FFVII-plot they'd need to start playing FFXIV or miss out on it.

I dont want to see this game ending up as a melting pot of every FF-story - I love all the little nods and refrences and I like it when they adapt and twist certain stories to make them fit into Eorzea, but this game shouldnt become their way of finishing untold stories. FFXIV is its own game, not some "Oh, dont worry about explaining everything in [FFNUMBER], we'll just finish it off in FFXIV!" or "Anyone has a good idea for the next story-patch in FFXIV? - There should be some early storyboards for FFVI-FFX in that box, maybe you can expand on one of them?"
No. No, thank you. Let FFXIV tell FFXIVs story - with nods, hints and refrences, but never with the idea of it being a "prequel" or "sequel" or anything like that.

Correct me if I'm wrong but arent all the Tactics games part of the Ivalice-saga and were meant to play in the same universe from the beginning?
I didnt play all of the Ivalice-saga, but I did like those moments of "oooh, THIS city, I remember it from the last game and hundreds of years ago!" because they made sense within those games. They're telling the story of a "country" throughout the decades with everything that thats involving.

I would also like to point out that our Ramsa isnt part of that - the Ivalice-saga isnt canon for FFXIV and what happend in FFXIV isnt canon for Ivalice. Things might be (very) similar, but thats a "coincidence", not a confirmation that Ivalice and Eorzea are connected (or that Ivalice has always been a part of Hydalyn).
Each FF has its own universe and those universes arent shared as far as the "sincere" story is concerned - cross-over events are always meant with a little wink and are not canon. Why should FFVII be treated differently?
