Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

When I heard there was going to be a new race, I thought I would be able to see Male and female viera. I am disappointed that only one gender was made. I can't wait to play the Male Viera in the future.

To be honest, they should have just made 1 full race (most likely full viera, since it sells more than anything thats beastlike considering miqote player numbers, and it just follows the game's asthetics better than hrotgar as a race imo) but whichever it be, do 1 full race, and consider the other one at 6.0 not give us 2 half baked genders, which aren't even finished to the point where on the male model you can't even choose hair, and then consider giving us actual races on 6.0

Tbh this thread seems to really enjoy being really pesimistic, and I'm not, so while I respect your pesimism, don't tell me that I should follow it

What's in bold could have been left out entirely. Saying "almost 100% sure" doesn't really disprove you saying you aren't expecting anything either, as it easily allows me to say you could have meant 99.9%.

Hrothgar fit perfectly. Final Fantasy games and JRPG's in general have always been prone to having the occasional bestial character as a playable character. Viera are just more of the same - I want to see them added, but they don't really add anything that isn't already there. Hrothgar, meanwhile, appeal to the players who want something outside the norm. Already there's a lot of hype surrounding them on this site and elsewhere.

There's been plenty of demand for something along the lines of Hrothgar. It just so happens that whenever people bring it up they're shot down by those who want more of the same.

because I am very, very possitive, and yes, I do expect the dev team to do this, but to me expectation has a different meaning. I'd rather be hopeful and happy and excited and then dissapointed, than just be sad all along, but that's just me

I am certain that they are a nice addition, but I personally would have prefered the races to keep the human style, it's just my personal preferences. As for hype, I think that male hrot will be popular arround male elezen/ male roes 2 -3 weeks after release, and female viera will be up there with cat women and tiny little dainty dragon waifus

In all honesty, there's no real point in fanning these flames again. I agree that they should have done one race at a time, then the graphics upgrade, then the other one, but they haven't for reasons of which we're not fully apprised, so repeating this yet again is a rather abortive exercise in futility.

Not sad, but "wait and see." Rather than be disappointed, I'd prefer to shrug things off easily (kinda like when Viera were revealed. They were more or less guaranteed, even though I still hate them because of how boring they are). Hrothgar was a very pleasant surprise, though, as they were something I was not expecting, even after the French bug.

Yoshi-P already outlined his reasoning, at any rate. Whether people agree with it or not is irrelevant - it has played out the way it has and any attempt to claim that one race isn't a worthy addition to the game over something else is just going to cause needless strife and chip away at support for the missing genders to be added.

1. Who said they lied? You're picking out a handful out of the thousands who didn't say they lie to paint a picture of Viera supporters which is not factual.
2. Who's saying SE said it was a guarantee? I'm guaranteeing we'll see them announced before 6.0, I don't work for SE, this is my personal guarantee based on how I see the situation.
