People wonder why naysayers come to this thread while at the same time it devolves into the same four or five people arguing about their vision of male viera now that the discussion is stale and the thread is now continuously relegated to second page of GD until one of the same people pops in again to talk about their ideal viera guy, or links to fan art supporting their vision, or a cringy hot take, and the cycle begins anew like a serpent eating its own tail. It's becoming increasingly vitriolic and if you don't support the echo chamber, you get shouted down. The only thing those same people dislike more than others' ideas about what bunny men should look like, are people with a different idea on the subject entirely.
It's making it very hard to support male viera without being associated with this thread and the ideas being discussed in it.
A bit of an exaggeration. We had a few people come in here saying they did not want male viera being added for various reasons, which is fine. It's also fine for people to disagree with those reasons.
Maybe Zeylos is just having a hard time articulating how they would want female hrothgar to look. Maybe you can ask them to clarify, or post a picture to get an idea of what they mean? For all we know, Zeylos could just mean they want hrothgar to look like female ronso from ffx.
And this is just a general comment not directed at anyone but there are some people who come off as over zealous sometimes and it's easy to look down on them. I think we should try to avoid being condescending.
What is your opinion on slightly smaller males? Nothing significant.
Agreed.
There are discussions of whether or not male viera should be added, and discussions on the male viera appearance.
The discussions about whether or not they should be added are actually pretty civil. There are disagreements, but that's all it is. All that happens in these discussion is someone comes into the thread stating why they don't think male viera should be added, and another person will disagree and state their own reasons.
The discussion about the male viera appearance is a bit more heated.
However, people like to conflate these two discussions into one, and claim the supporters will attack people who do not want male viera added into the game. That's not really true.

I wouldn't mind the type of sexual dimorphism that would make male viera just slightly shorter than the females. When I say slightly shorter, I mean just that. Something very slight. However, I don't care too much if the males were slightly taller, either. As long as they are around the same height, it's fine imo.
By human standards, female ronso do seem quite masculine. Side by side with a human character, you can see she's much bigger.
But if you're comparing a male ronso and female ronso side by side, then I guess you could call the female ronso more feminine.
What you're comparing the female ronso to is important. It's all a matter of perspective.
Digital validation? I appreciate you try to help, and the fact that you are nice, something many others could do, but I have no self esteem problems. I simply wanna play as a male very, which I myself have stated I'd like to be masculine and ripped, and I'd like to see a strong woman and be able to have her as an altNot going to lie Zeylos the more and more you post the more I think you're letting something really personal get in the way here. I would advise distancing yourself a little and not looking for these genders to be added for personal validation - especially if they don't add them in. Anyway, he's not attacking you, he's asking legit why.
Seen people who do this in the past, and it never goes well when they use something digital for validation for themselves.

It also doesn't help that there's some toxic supporters in here that will target you if you don't agree with them, even if you're a supporter of male viera. The vitriol is very real here.People wonder why naysayers come to this thread while at the same time it devolves into the same four or five people arguing about their vision of male viera now that the discussion is stale and the thread is now continuously relegated to second page of GD until one of the same people pops in again to talk about their ideal viera guy, or links to fan art supporting their vision, or a cringy hot take, and the cycle begins anew like a serpent eating its own tail. Kinda why i don't post anywhere as often anymore just not worth talking with some people if all they are going to do is shut down, not disagree, shut down there is a difference.
