Minfilia as a Rouge

At the current moment they are making trusts available based on story relevance. The Media tour build had Thancred, Minfilia, Alisaie, Alphinaud and Urianger as available trusts for the lvl 73 dungeon. Y'shtola (Matoya) was not available, and would never be available for that dungeon because story wise she is not there, and we know she can be called upon for other instances. If they make more trusts available, they would be based solely on story availability. This stance in turn, makes it harder for them to retroactively add their version of trusts to older content, because most of the time we canonically go through dungeons w/o any of the npcs beside us. There are very few dungeons where it is otherwise.

Which is funny considering the concept behind so much 'savage' content is the fact that some pleb is writing sing-songs about how awesome we are and grossly over-exaggerating our past tales. Similarly for the Alphascapes, with a machine over-tuning the battles for replay. On that note, they most definitely could incorporate this sort of thing if they really, REALLY wanted, but I suspect old content will be kept to our Squadrons and just fluffed up over time, whilst an extension of the Trust System will be used instead for content down the road, which makes sense on all fronts.

I certainly do hope that if the trust system is a solid success, it gets expanded on and allowed to include other characters beyond the Scions.

I suspect it will. There's a lot of characters that would make for solid additions such as Arenvald, Estinien and Fordola.

Potentially the likes of Hien as well, even if it is only for a dungeon or two as part of the ongoing story.

Antagonists joining for the occasional dungeon would work very nicely too. Vagrant Story had a special fight where that happened and guest characters played a part in quite a few of the Final Fantasy titles.

Im going out on a limb and just going to say that they are trusts, not scions specifically. Anyone that was in gymlit dark(even aymeric,yugiri,hien,etc)

Out of curiosity, do we know if trusts are simulacrums of the individuals like in XI, or are they just the characters themselves? If it's the former, I'd be very happy with Iroha and Shantotto for XI's 20th anniversary.

From what we know so far, it's dependent on which characters are actually with us at that point in the story, so it does seem to be the actual people accompanying us into the dungeon.

And i just read an interview yesterday conducted by Dengeki, where apparently after beating the main scenario, you get these special 'crystals' from which you can summon simulacrums of the Scions at level 70, and can level them up, so now I don't know what to think.

"The Trust system post main scenario quests will enter what we refer to as the “growth mode” which all Trust NPCs will turn level 70. Even though their levels will adjust to fit without raising them throughout the scenario, we would like you to think of it as a form of gameplay where you get to bring those characters into dungeons and raise them after clearing all main scenario quests."

Gotta love that Mini-filia is more useful than the adult one.

Also this will be a chance to interact with them more. Imagine all the new stuff we learn about them. Especially if we replay the dungeons with different trusts.
