honestly im waiting for her to use some special powers like instead of throwing knives she throws crystals or something and uses maybe god like magic instead of ninjutsu.

On another note, what age has she regressed to? Is it her 1.0 age or even younger then that? She looks about the same height as Alphinaud and Alisaie.

Said Scions obviously won't play by the rules. While they're obviously not WoL level, they have always been represented as somewhat above the standard and have their own unique flares/oddities that won't be class-restricted. If it wasn't this way (especially if you ignore ShB and only look at the brief playable cameo versions of said characters in SB), they would forever remain sub-par characters with 3 abilities and nothing overly special outside of cutscene/plot-armour.
Minfilia as a Rogue makes sense on various levels. We've all joked and meme'd about how useless she was in ARR. Now she can accompany you as an actual combat NPC. Given she was practically raised by Thancred, who himself is most notably of the Rogue persuasion, him training her or inspiring her to protect herself now that she has returned just fits (whilst also not being experienced enough to go beyond Rogue), while he opts out of the Rogue role and takes over something else that is needed (namely tank).
This will also no-doubt be tied to her statement to the WoL in the past that she would 'return the favour' (watching over her) before transporting the WoD's to their own world. Now, she'll have your back this time.
The rest is just a case of reshuffling the deck. It'd be crazy at this point in the game to assume that only the WoL had a knack for multi-tasking, with the supposedly important Scions being stuck as one-trick-3-button-ponies the whole time. I just hope it all leads to them getting some more story development.

I also heard that we may get some Unlockable Trust companions as well and if that is true, i am curious how that may play out story wise.
However, for now we can only wait and see what happens.
Though it may be interesting if the Unlock Trust Companions involved their own personal side storyline chain quest before unlocking to give them some backstory development.
SCH as we know it is a Nymian discipline and relies on their faeries as a healing medium. It's also essentially a lost art if i remember well. I'm guessing since Alphie was already very talented as an Arcanist and even had a healing unique Carbuncle for a while now he basically reverse-engineered the job which would be quite a feat but not outside his realm of possibility.Trust Jobs and classes mostly seem not to play with the same rules as players, with Alphinaud having access to a carbuncle egi (I personally hope we get access to carbuncle egis for SCH too) as well as Uriangr being reported to have BLM's Aetherial Manipulation as he's scripted to cast it in the media tour's final dungeon boss when someone reaches said boss, though I'm not sure if AST will be getting that as a skill in Shadowbringers
Its probably best to assume that Trusts will sometimes not play with the same restrictions players have to so that they can both feel more interesting and compensate for any NPC quirks like low DPS

Replaying Heavensward recently, at one point (maybe when we go to the Gubal Library) Alphinaud stays behind at Matoya's cave, and mentions that he's been reading her books and has a much better grasp on some concepts - and could maybe apply them to create a new type of carbuncle. It's after this that we start to see him using unique types.
So it's quite possible he's developed something that is functionally the same as a Nymian faerie, but in the form of a carbuncle because that's what he has in mind when he summons it. From memory, that's the explanation we already get for being able to summon our egis in carbuncle form.

I'm guessing we'll get at least one more tank option for sure. Personally I'd like it if some secondary scions like Hoary Boulder got to join in. Or they could throw in some npcs from past expansions like Hilda as MCh and Estinien as DRG.
I want to say Estinien was actually an example shown when Trusts were first revealed, but that may have just been a mockup example and not an actual screenshot.
Currently we are only given 5 Trust Companions that we unlock as we progress in MSQ being Alphinaud, Alisaie, Thancred, Minfilia, Urianger, and Y'shtola.
If unlockable Trust are released then it is most likely a "later" content thing once they get a better setup for Trust Companions and their involvement in future content and expansions. Maybe even figure out how to get some Trust Companions for players trying to level through 2.0 to 4.X content.
