If they get hair like this, I will change and never look back on any other race. Please give me some GOOD looking dreadlocks. Not the ones the females have, those look trashy.
Looking at how Viera ladies are, it will be the same for the men having similar proportions as Elezen (Small head, broad shoulders, lanky). Although, as they have done with the ladies, the guys will look great regardless due to their unique features including long and wild looking hairstyles.
Can't recall if I added my voice to this, but while I feel the backlash was a bit much, I do still agree that SE should have focused on bringing male and female designs for viera and hrothgar to the table. I'm excited for what they've accomplished with Shadowbringers, but this is an evolving MMO and there's definitely time to do this! Even if they have to pull back on certain other contents to do it! Make it happen SE!
One thing that sucks is SE isn’t giving them enough money to do it for ffxiv so hopefully SE sees the outcry for it and gives them more. Heard they are making a mobile ffxv smh...Can't recall if I added my voice to this, but while I feel the backlash was a bit much, I do still agree that SE should have focused on bringing male and female designs for viera and hrothgar to the table. Oh god this is still going
I'm curious if the Japanese player base is "upset" at the genderlocking as well? Or are they used to it from all the games in their market that do it?
If you're talking about this thread, it's been kept alive by about two-three people constantly bumping it up to the top when it gets low on the front page for about... ooh, 100 pages now.
Edit
The truth is, minus the handful of die hards, no one really cares about this particular problem any more. You don't see it brought up much on Twitter, never brought up on the Reddit any more, even Tumblr doesn't care so much besides making male viera art from time to time. This is a concern that lost its fire for the most part, especially now that we're closer to an expansion full of brand new actual content.
