Aye, I think adding some different customisation options for old races would be great. For example, I would love for Miqo'te to have slightly different ear shapes to choose from (or atleast one shaped like actual cat ears)

The problem is that the character graphics are directly related to the engine, which is somewhat faulty, since it's sort of recycled from 1.0... there are some additions that are totally feasible (such as adding more faces), but others, that change the proportion of the body parts are way come complicated because you'd have to alter directly how the engine works, and that's work altering the pillar of the game. I believe what they can do related to sliders is to "amplify" the effect that already exist, the ones that got carried from 1.0.Man, I notice a lot of people say the work of sliders is insanely hard. I've played tons of -free to play- games with sliders that let you go from 3ft to 9ft tall, 80lb to 400lb, and unless you go crazy with them, the clipping is hardly a thing or not that much of a bother. I'd rather have clipping than no slide---- oh wait, we already have tons of clipping. Nevermind. It's hard for me to think a company this huge can't do that as well.
I'm "implying" that it's incorrect to say there's a 50/50 chance of something happening because Yoshida said he'd look into whether it's possible two years ago, and nothing since.
I certainly wouldn't expect something to be announced soon just based on that quote, and it shouldn't be claimed as proof that they're working on it.
(I also personally don't want it. If they find space in the character data to fit a slider-worth of extra information, I want it spent on giving us more face settings. Not something I'll cover up with every glamour I ever make - deliberately.)
There are plenty other that do want it and won’t cover it up, though.
Despite my past agreements with the poster you responded to, I agree: there’s nothing wrong with adding more variety and customization. And that includes butt sliders (and more body sliders in general—why is it that only Hyurs can be muscular/toned?).

Still see no reason why Miqo’te and other races can’t have muscle sliders. Especially considering Miqo’te are nomads and hunters. Would make sense for them to have the option!

There’s literally no reason for you to sound so passive aggressive, it’s quite obvious by reading your post. Calm down, lol. Anyways, your bias of not wanting it in the game shows, and that’s okay, but go about it more peacefully.I'm "implying" that it's incorrect to say there's a 50/50 chance of something happening because Yoshida said he'd look into whether it's possible two years ago, and nothing since.

Also, it’s just as disingenuous to say that it *wont* happen as it has been addressed by Yoshida, and he was even nice enough to ask the graphics team about it. We’re talking about a man who got saddened by a transgender individual in Japan and wanted to look more into gender locked items because of it. He’s a good guy, so it wouldn’t surprise us if he addresses it again.
Remove your personal feelings from an objective opinion, please.
What they’re arguing is that since all races except Lalafells have humanoid structures, there’s no logical reason they shouldn’t have a muscle slider. Explain technical things differently from one another so you make more sense.

In an interview a few months ago:
It looks like they're experimenting with different body types, not sure if it means that it'll result in a body type slider in the future though.Q: Will the plump miqo'te in the trailer be playable? Will we be seeing plump versions of other races?
A: *laughs* There are many different body types in the world, and before, we couldn't represent all of them due to cost. But now, we're starting to look into different body types for races, starting with the plump miqo'te. You'll be seeing them in the MSQ, so please give us your honest feedback.
But other than that, I'd really rather have more customization for each races than a new race.. If they can't add features to existing faces due to limitations, then maybe they can add new faces? Midlander Hyur have 5 or 6 available faces , whereas all the other races only have 4 faces to choose from.

Hm, sounds like we will be getting butt stuff in 6.0 lolIn an interview a few months ago:

Every race has one setting that is controlled by a slider (not counting the female bust slider). Hyur and Roegadyn get muscle tone, Lalafell and Elezen get ear length, Miqo'te and Au Ra get tail length.
Likewise, everyone gets five "extra feature" tickboxes - the actual options vary, but the number does not.
And everyone has a setting with two tickboxes and an associated colour choice, which usually sets racial tattoos, but also Wildwood earclasps and Au Ra limbal rings. Neither of these races have specific tattoos.
We'll have to wait and see how they handle that. They dodged the question about them being playable, and I think there's a possibility it will be modeled into the gear itself, rather than an actual setting that can be changed on the character and used with any outfit.
