I agree with that, more long haircut please, for my Au'ra.
I'm not hyped by the new races.

Dunno what I want for female roes but I'll take it. Maybe just a more refined run, bigger boobs, more poses, better overall animations.
I'm happy with my 1980s supermodel-looking character and have no desire to make any changes to her, but I'm all for more options for everyone who wants them.
Good point, Wolf, about how they've already told us there will most likely be no more new races in the future, and so, why not add more options to the existing ones instead?
She's got a chicken to ri-ide, she's got a chicken to ri-i-ide...
She's got a chicken to ride, this game's from Square!
I know that stuff as additional sliders and such maybe are a huge undertaking because it's directly related to the engine...
But if not, then there are some alternative options to that:
- Add more faces! It's pretty unsetting to have only 4 options in some races, when the other features (mouth, nose, etc) barely alters them
- Add more features. Derplander's stubble is already in a ingame model (see benchmark). Also there are a lot of inconsistencies on what which face can have and some other's don't, for no clear reason
- Let us stack 2 or 3 face paint options! Why I can't have big eyebrows AND freckles?
- Bump up the resolution of the face paints. Seriously, most of them are blurry on a distance
- Related to the character creation menu: For the love of the twelve, let us preview the combat sounds of the voices
Not related to added customization but a bit:
- See the emote menu, the face expression tab? Can we have a checkbox to enable us to keep an expression indefinitely?

I’d love to see more additional customization for the existing races.
I’d love to see us be able to use more than one facepaint—like eyeshadow + blush, or eyeshadow + facial tattoo. I’d love to see separation of horns and faces for Au Ra, and the ability to toggle clan stripes on Miqo’te (e.g., allow for cheek stripes, but give an option to hide forehead stripes, or vise versa). I’d like to see the ability to have your eyebrows a different color from your hair color. More features like facial marks/scars on all the faces—some faces have no scar options, while others have 2~3.
I’d also like to see the textures upgraded—Viera have some really nice face textures, and I’d love to see the older races upscaled to that as well.

I don't know if we can realistically add more sliders/categories, but I would absolutely love more options in each. Especially the faces, there are only 4 faces for each race and that's not a lot considering how many players there are.
I wouldn't mind having more options at all really. Also, as for butt sliders, I wouldn't really hold my breath, since that would be probably similar work to a new model, and they'll most likely focus on the missing genders if they can do more models. Also, I think that they could just give us some more options (male hrotgar and female viera hairstyles, elezen shorter neck, female aura taller option, au ra horns not tied to faces) without using too many resources, so I have absolutely nothing against the idea

Man, I notice a lot of people say the work of sliders is insanely hard. I've played tons of -free to play- games with sliders that let you go from 3ft to 9ft tall, 80lb to 400lb, and unless you go crazy with them, the clipping is hardly a thing or not that much of a bother. I'd rather have clipping than no slide---- oh wait, we already have tons of clipping. Nevermind. It's hard for me to think a company this huge can't do that as well.
I think that they can't do that because of 2 reasons: The games with such customization, typically feature either no races or everything is genderlocked, plus they have 1% of the outfits we have here. Then, those companies spend a lot more money on character creation than on outfits, whic his not the case for this gameMan, I notice a lot of people say the work of sliders is insanely hard. The problem is that the character graphics are directly related to the engine, which is somewhat faulty, since it's sort of recycled from 1.0... there are some additions that are totally feasible (such as adding more faces), but others, that change the proportion of the body parts are way come complicated because you'd have to alter directly how the engine works, and that's work altering the pillar of the game. I believe what they can do related to sliders is to "amplify" the effect that already exist, the ones that got carried from 1.0.Man, I notice a lot of people say the work of sliders is insanely hard.
