I agree on that partially. A majority of men tends to be stronger than the majority of women, but like you said, there's many women who are stronger than most men. I think that has to do with hormones and muscle mass
It does have a lot to do with testosterone. Still, a woman stronger than a man is an exception not the norm.
Not like it matters much in this game in the end. I am running around as like a 5'1, or maybe 5'2 petite au ra with a battleaxe bigger than her body! However, the female viera don't really have much going for them other than height, the males should be muscular, in my opinion.
This definitely plays a big part in the fantasy of this game.

It's exceptional to the point of being extremely rare. I think he might have in mind an unfit guy vs some gym lady, but that's apples to oranges; if we're talking about latent natural potential, even the strongest women will rarely reach the muscle mass of an average male, and the same goes with height bell curve distributions. Sure, there's outliers where this won't occur, but they're called exceptions for that reason.
This doesn't have to manifest in the same way in fantasy races, but I think it's just good writing/world-building to make sure the story behind it is explained in the setting, since it's not like we just arbitrarily evolved this way for no reason... and quite frankly, SE do factor in attractiveness (both in terms of the opposite sex, but also in terms of how the typical guy or girl ideally imagines themselves; in both cases, evolutionary impulses play a role), so it's not like they're going to toss that to the wind when factoring what they put in, so it's not by accident even some of the more "bestial" races exhibit traits that capitalise on this, like muscularity for male orcs. It does limit the range of what is likely to be played most.
I like him a lot. Makes me think of this:
Regarding Bishonen, correct me if I'm wrong, but there's nothing that stipulates their physique has to be particularly slender? Hence why you have Sephiroth, with his rather delicate facial features but powerful body, or Zenos, again with a very powerful body but a "pretty" face.

It's stated by the dramaturge male and female Viera are indistinguishable from each other until puberty, that's pretty much the only hint people are going for. Ironically, puberty is also when the body starts developing and the differences between the sexes becomes much more apparent.Regarding Bishonen, correct me if I'm wrong, but there's nothing that stipulates their physique has to be particularly slender? Basically, they can very well be bishonen, muscular, lanky, etc, but sorry for those who want an Astolfo, that ain't it.

They'll look like this.

Right, but do we want male Viera to be Garleans in disguise? That look is already taken by Garleans. Facially they should look like female Viera but with masculine faces, like this, strong jaw, strong noseRegarding Bishonen, correct me if I'm wrong, but there's nothing that stipulates their physique has to be particularly slender? We keep going on circles about how they should look when the concept art already exists. They won't be twinks, they won't be short, or pretty boys like male Elezen, that's why we have male Elezen already; the typical bishounen elf males. You know Aymeric and Estinien? Why do we need that again?
Again we don't know definitively what they'll look like, yes we have concept art but the issue with concept art is that you really never know what'll be used. They have that concept art, ones with slender bodies, one with smaller bodies(that we know they won't use) and Yoshida's statement that they'd be tall and elegant with faces like miqo'te and body's like elezen.
We could very much get an Au ra scenario where the final model looks nothing like the concept art, they could look huge and hulking or they could just look exactly like how Yoshida's designed. We don't know, again I'd rather they look somewhat like male highlanders/au ra but with better proportions. That being said I don't think there's any evidence that outright says they won't be x or y besides of course them being children, which we know will for sure not happen.
Essentially, they'll look like what they'll look like, there's no point in getting bent up over it if someone wants something you don't want when their entire existence or chance of being added are up in the air.
The devs have already stated the reason for it not being added was resource, time, and feeling like hrothgar brought more. It most likely has nothing to do with hetero positions or not.
It's taken by Zenos. Especially when you compare him to the likes of Varis, Solus, Nero, Cid or Gaius. Varis and Gaius, in particular, have very hard facial features.
I wasn't saying they ought to look like him, anyway. More so commenting on the fact that it appears the bishounen look doesn't require a slender body. I like the original concept art as a basis for them.
