Here is praying. Been tearing my hair out trying to find a nice leveling set....i feel like im going to have to just use the bustier untill we see what the 60 gear is like or what crafted stuff comes out.

Though i'm not sure if the red mage or sam starting gear was actually 'new' or not, so dancer could end up starting with a recolored Thavnairian set or something...guess we'll find out, but I'm pretty sure it'll give some baseline starting gear, would be silly to have a job start at 60 without it after throwing a bone to red mages and samurai.

But the aiming version dyes so badly with that horrible shade of pink....

Have a look at the Lv50 versions purchased with Allied Seals and upgraded at Hyrstmill - maybe that will dye better for you.

They weren't new gear models - RDM had the recurring mage gear from ARR of course, and boots that are used with that design for a Lv50 healer PVP set. Samurai gear is based on the Doman mage gear purchased in Ishgard, and BLU got the recoloured Valkyrie set.

So recoloueed existing gear is likely, but hopefully they'll go for something less accessible than the Thavnairian gear - even if it's an obvious choice.

Maybe they'd use the Star Velvet Himation design that I was planning to use anyway! (They're normally mage gear but there's a scouting version from the Sirensong Sea.) The sleeves are very similar to the relic gear.

Looked at it...its only slightly better... can't get it to match my normal ascetic at all...

This would be hilarious if you account for the people that thought Lyse was a 'dancer' in that cinematic when it first came out...

Considering lore wise it's supposed to be a traditional ala mhigan thing though I would LOVE it if they gave us a set like it, dyable especially. But if they did it would probably be another undyable lore character outfit on the mog station.

I'm still salty that one line about "Ala Mhigan Bladedancers" from a 1.0 Levequest didn't come to anything... Perhaps some Dancer Job quests can touch on it at least...
