I was curious when I saw this on the Lodestone, but after reading it and seeing the rewards...hard pass. Not really worth the effort required to obtain what I don't have. So...back to playing other games I guess until Shadowbringers.

as a vet player with no ARR beast tribe mounts, not even interested in the slightest. if an alliance raid was 10 tomestones, maybe I'd grab a few things. but 2? and 1 for dungeons? hard pass. that is not worth the grind.
I don't know what to think about this event.
Its not much of an event if you're an old player and already have much of this stuff.
Its a nice event for people to get extra burned out right before ShB gets released xD
Hey, I'll totally run things! I've just been sitting around town doing much of nothing, but I do seeplenty of itemsa couple of items i'd like to work towards. Prices are a tad high, so I'll probably have to really look into what I want, but I appreciate the bonus.

SE: "Guys, we need a solution to the server problems that will undoubtedly arise due to the influx of thousands, possibly millions of players who want to play Shadowbringers."
Devs: "Let's have players grind for days and weeks for some earrings. They'll need a break after that!"
SE: "PERFECT!"
Agreed.
A slow grind is fine. A slow grind with a very short time limit? That's just plain stupid.
you know.... stuff like this was how we had to do the relic back in the day. then we got eureka. people say they want to go back to the way things were. none of you are ever satisfied.
I have just told my daughter we shall be spamming those dungeons because pegasus.
This event is a great opportunity to pick up some things that might otherwise be problematic to acquire, or tooth-gnashingly annoying. For example, I fished up my magic bucket, but it was only to kick it for how long it took. If someone gets it this more surefire way, then more power to them! XD
This is a really boring grind. Running some of the lamest content for tomes ... yes been there done that for relic of days gone by but some like it. Debating personally if I'll just give it a pass given the number of tomestones per run are pretty small. Can take a party of 4 to 6 to Diadem and earn Pegasus a lot faster than spamming the content for 50 tomestones.
I suppose if you're running some of this normally for leveling roles it might not be so bad but that's not my case. The fact you can't unsync any of this is certainly a turnoff.

Rewards are WAY too low for the time invested.
Should have put 3 as a reward for "Adventurer in need".
Give a daily Tome for logging in with the companion app instead of those useless Kupo Nuts.
SOMETHING.
100% this.I feel like with this was intended to start earlier, or the time frame hasn't really been thought out.
There are three elements to the grind:
- small amount of tokens per run
- large number of high-cost items
- short time frame
Take away any one of those and it would probably seem okay. But all three seems like bad planning.
MSQ.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
