Beats me, Diadem was about as idiotic as Eureka, so I avoided both.
Was rather interested in the riding maps, b/c I hate doing hunts but at this rate even the daily hunts are A LOT faster than the supposedly "more accessible" way.

If you have BLU to cap, it's faster to do the Carnivale to get the required Allied seals to get the riding maps.

If you can get a party of 5 or 6 together you can kill relatively low level mobs upon entry. They yield spoils pretty quickly. I would say it's a lot faster than grinding 50 tomestones but does require a group.
Really they just need to extend the time limit. At least to 5.1, if not indefinitely. A month is just way too short for most people to get even one of the more expensive items.
That said, the real heroes here are the people who buy the maps just to experiment and share the results with the rest of us. (edit: actually, from the description they just look like thief maps.)

Heard some people are after the earrings for glamour because they like that sort of stuff. You know how people are different strokes for different folks. But I am willing to bet someone will have them real quick. Usually happens. But I reckon this event is aimed are newer folks to the game.
As someone pointed out its probably easier and quicker to go through CT due to the ability to skip cutscenes versus Castrum or Prae.
I am going for the cards, Pegasus, and maybe MPG, though the maps intrigue me.
The worst thing about this by far is the 'join in progress' restriction. This is going to hurt a ton of players trapped in a party waiting on a tank or healer. So few people check this off to begin with.
I really do question where my sub money goes sometimes...
How strange. I would call this an attempt to keep old content relevant as expansions continue to move away from it, but, event only runs until the expansion drops. Perhaps a test run of sorts. But I do appreciate the effort to allow newer players the chance to quickly access some of these rewards that may otherwise have taken some considerable farming.
There's an awful lot of content there for only a month, I doubt you'd be catching up that much. This look quite interesting, but it's come far too late to be that useful in my opinion.

Hmm do I want to burn out right before the next expansion or keep playing Witcher 2 and finish that by the time its time to come back? lol... not even a hard decision. Sure i'm slightly tempted by the diadem stuff, but the amount of grinding needed to get all of it is a hard pass.
*looks at the amount needed for the earring*....*looks at the dungeons and the amount they give*...no thank you.
Well seems like many people dont run these things if they introduce us to such items.
I mean the idea itself is not bad (even though I find the selection a bit strange..) but that many tomestones for a small earring? And the rest of stuff could easily be done unsynch.
The old relics had a story, different steps, had enough time to even do it casually for a good weapon and for the biggest part it did not need specific dungeons. Often you only needed certain tomestones, so you still can choose what to run. This is pure mindless grind of something we already run way too much. And the only truly new thing takes so much time..there is really a difference between an event that takes 20 minutes and an event where you need huge amount of hours to finish..

I do but if Carnivale is anything like brawlers guild from WoW, I know I'm most likely going to suck at it.
Of course not. After all there's a sorceress to b- *cough* I mean... gentlemanly romance of course.
Namazu earrings can't compete with that.
