If crafter jump potions existed the value of most crafted items would plummet and the market would crash very hard. The only people who could continue to make money in such a market would be omni-crafters in top tier gear who can craft raid gear, raid food and high-end furnishings. Everyone else would be unable to make money. The monetary gap between mega-rich crafters and everyone else would become even bigger.

Combat classes are mandatory to play through the main content of the game. Gathering and crafting is not. DoL and DoH certainly have a long path of progress but it is 100% optional. It doesn't gate-keep any content that is unrelated to it that a player might want to access.

I grudgingly tolerate the current jump potions. I disagree with them but I can see why they were introduced. But there should be no more introduced other than upgrades to the current ones when appropriate. There is something to be said about leaving enough content for players to play through, not pay through. Why bother paying a sub if you're just going to pay for potions that do the content for you? If a person feels that being asked to play the game if they want to get nice things is too much to ask...then they should stop playing or learn to have some patience. Mmos usually have very long paths of progression, often several of them.
