    I didn't say I didn't LIKE it. Just it's arbitrary.
"WE shouldn't have this because it's different." not a great reason.
You can play the game ignoring an incredible lot of content, that doesn't mean they shouldn't make it accessible later when they pile thing after thing after thing on it.

I mean getting the crafters leveled isn't easy, but it isn't the hardest thing in the game. It just takes patience and motivation. I only just recently Got them all to 70 myself. I just used Namazu/Moogles/Collectible turn-ins to get along the way. What was a pain for crafters was the lv50 master books, especially the way they did the Tier 2 Master books. @_@

No thanks? Leveling crafters doesn't take long nor is it difficult between leves, exp FROM crafting itself, and (if you're behind) beast tribe quests halfway or less through an expansion.

Since there seem to be a select few amount of people who want crafting jump potions due to either laziness, or just simple disdain for crafting in general, which, is childish; I can be lazy too. :P

Let’s have gil jump potions! $30 for 30 Million Gil because gil is so easy to get, might as well just buy it! (sarcasm)

I wouldn't be opposed to jump potions up to level 50. The door was already opened with DoW/DoM jump potions, and players already sell levekits in-game for boosting crafting jobs, anyway.

'Breaking the economy' isn't really a good excuse imo when most servers suffer from empty market boards as-is. I'd argue the lack of crafters and gatherers is infinitely more negative, especially for new players.

You can’t be serious. Haha, posts like this are exactly why I made that crazy Gil jump potion analogy. :P Anyways, “empty market boards”? Do you have any idea how inflated and competitive markets are? World Visit helps that a lot as well. Especially the end game gear markets. It’s flooded with crafters. Occasionally, being filled with new crafters that will want to sell some gear for a quick buck. I would know. Trust me, I craft around 300 pieces of gear a day. And eventually I plan on crafting for all 7 servers.

Square Enix’s mission to have FFXIV’s markets be more competitive has been fulfilled due to World Visit. Anything beyond this point is just unnecessary and players wanting easy hand outs.

Secondly, for new players? What are you talking about? Crafting and Gathering was never meant to be easy for new players, period. If anything, it’ll hurt new players that want to earn gil by gathering. So many people will have access to DoH/DoL jump potions to the point where new players trying to save up gil, are basically stuck. If anything, that gives people more of a reason to buy gil.

There is a reason these jump potions are not a reality in NA/EU.

Yes, I'm serious. Over on Crystal, every server that isn't Balmung has an effectively dead marketboard. The competition didn't get better with world visit; it ended up turning Balmung into an even stronger buyer's market where anything that isn't locked behind a rare drop barely sells for an amount worth the trouble. Primal isn't the only data center in existence.

I'm not talking about new players taking up DoH/DoL, I'm talking about the lack of availability for pretty much anything that isn't the final tier of level 70 crafted gear. FFXIV can't survive on a dwindling population of veterans alone. Perhaps consider other players than yourself?

If people don't have to level manually, why do you think they would make gear to put on the MB for new players? You won't see an increase in leveling gear, you will see a decrease in leveling gear and an increase in high-end gear.

What makes you think they wouldn't? I honestly think the issue is the lack of crafters (and to a lesser extent) gatherers. No one is selling in bulk at a low level.
