[FEEDBACK] Why I cancelled my subscription: no way for new players to get into raids

I've rolled into Delta and Sigmascape many times via Raid Roulette, so it does work.

I don't think the point is to run raid roulette if you want to do Delta or Sigmascape, but that running Delta/Sigmascape via DF will work because those running Raid ROulette will feed into your queue.

I did recently brought a nearly fresh twink char from Copperbell Mines to the current end of MSQ.

Wait times was around 15-20 mins for dungeons and less than 5 mins for trials. Only the 2 Castrum parts needed a little bit longer to wait.

All while being a DPS.

I finally reached lvl70 and ilvl390 gear.

I already queued hours for the Trials of the MSQ, but literally no one does Deltascape anymore.

FC recruitment asks for experienced raider, which as a new player can't happen as per my previous point.

I have been raiding for 2 years in Rift, from first time playing MMO to main healer in my raid group, I have never experienced such barriers to get into raids.

This has not been my experience recently.
I know I'm on the "raiding" data center for NA but.. within the last 2 months I've progressed through all of the Omega regular story line on my main, farmed Alphascape for gear and leveled an alt on Hyperion to play with others. I'm currently about to run Doma castle for the first time on hyperion and have never waited more than 15 minutes for any particular required story dungeon or raid.

I see you're on the Japanese data centers.. maybe you're playing when most people are asleep if you're located in NA? I HAVE noticed a large difference in queue times when I play during the wee hours of the night.

You do realise that people outside of the US speak English and can access the English forums, right?

You're recommended to choose your geographically closest data centre when signing up, and the JP data centres cover Australia and other English-speaking countries in the region.

Bit.. hostile there.

That's why I mentioned "if you're located in NA". I didn't say they were on the WRONG servers or that they had to be from NA just that if they were the time difference might be killing their queue times.

Yes.. I am aware other people besides US residents speak english. Thank you.

I recently decided to start my Omega raid chain and i completed Deltaspace just fine,the only raids it took me long to find ppl was Deltaspace V2 and Sigmascape V2 the rest was like 10 minites max~
but im still new myself so i dont know what might be the issue,but yeah im gonna with the others,since late february i started till now several ppl i played with canceled their sub to come back with ShB and not get burned out

That's good to know. I have met plenty of new players over the years though who talk of hours-long queue times and have appreciated my tank queue. It may vary a lot on the time of day they play, the time of year, the content, the DC habits and DC population.

you don't need to cancel sub for that reason, i too wanted deltascape weapons they looked cool but i either get kicked cause bonus or rarely any play them but i know there's always better stuff in the next expansion

Catching up through normal modes isnt going to go quickly like getting all of your story and dungeons done did.
Party finder is the tool you need to use to get through the normal modes.
As far as doing savages, again make a party finder staying your time availability and experience if any and someone will eventually talk to you. The biggest hurdle to raid in ANY game (Ive played almost every MMO since everquest) is joining a team, and it takes time no matter where you go.

Any FC that requires raid experience to be a member isnt a FC worth being a part of. On top of that all FCs with a raid team or component that Ive seen end up having big drama issues later on. Join a FC to make friends and play the content that isnt raids. Your raid team should use a linkshell or a discord to keep in contact.
