I'm fully expecting the Scions to have a hideout named The Waking Sands, just because it seems like the kind of thing the devs would do as a joke.

Yoshi P said that if there was enough demand they would THINK about adding them. I think people need to not expect them at all. I'd probably be willing to bet that they will make an appearance with 6.0 but I'm not expecting them.

This is certainly a wise way to look at it. I move by the fact that he said if there was enough demand they would maybe add them, and to me it seems like there is lots of demand. I have crystal clear that there is a chance that we never get them, and there is also a chance that we get them at 7.0,8.0,9.0 etc... I think I should use hope instead of expect, since it's kinda what I mean

I did already read it but to me that's far from a response. It's kinda the same from JP fanfest but with different wording. I'm talking about a: Yes, sometime you will get them, or: no, we currently aren't willing to make the missing genders.

The only way MCH could get destroyed in ShB is if they fail to change it enough. I'm optimistically looking forward to ANY change at this point because there's a lot more room for better than for worse. Even if they throw all possible redesign ideas into a bowl and make a blindfolded monkey pick out a few at random, the results are statistically likely to be some kind of improvement.
