I 100% agree with you. But 70% of the player base does not agree, so crafting will not get hard ever again unless it’s requested once more (it won’t, don’t expect it to)

But from this point on, don’t expect anything to be exclusive, that seems to anger this community a lot. Would I like more exclusive stuff? Of course! But I have to wake up and realize that’s not how things work around here. What stays or what is gone from the game is ultimately up to the community. You have to understand that.

Yeah, no, don't mix poor game design (crafting being RNG relying, makign it "hard") and players greed.
ARR mechanics have all more or less changed because they were getting clunky as the game developed. That's true for battle systems, crafting, glamour and so on.

As a crafter who has crafted since 2.0, and understands crafting well, I can definitely say that Prudent Touch does make crafting less irritating, but that is precisely what makes it too easy. Honestly, keep Prudent Touch in, i would prefer a “Savage” crafting mode. Where, if you want superior gear and tools that allows you to HQ recipes easier, you have to HQ recipes that are untradeable. Hard recipes.

Basically, something that separates hardcore crafters from casual ones. That is just my opinion, that’s all. All I’m saying is that I get where the OP is coming from, and that she or he should not expect anything to be exclusive, I had to learn the hard way. I will not respond to negative comments. (I know how touchy of a subject Prudent Touch is for a lot of crafters that weren’t around during 2.0 - 3.0 crafting. So I need to point that out.)

Short reply here as we are getting out of topic, but I understand your point and I feel the same about various degrees of crafting. I don't think it boils down to Prudent Touch, but rather how much ressources and time they are willing to put in Crafting in general. We'll see the new direction with "high end crafting in Ishgard" soon anyway.
My point is : the game has opened. People complained that jobs were dumbed down, that normal difficulty is too easy. It's partially true but also player experience gets in the equation: we just get better at what we do regardless of the tools we have with each expansion. Because we understand the game more and more, and that applies to combat and crafting alike.

I agree. Let’s hope the Ishgard end game content rewards both hardcore and casual players the way they should be rewarded.
