Pretty sure he has, snap his finger and boom CRYSTAL DATA CENTER!

The game would be akin to this if he added in everything everyone kept asking for.
"Sometimes I wonder I heal for fun. or if I heal because I'm a glutton for punishment."

Whether or not that's the case, it's undeniable that this game gets tons of updates. Huge updates (and maybe it's just me, but I haven't seen any other MMORPG updating as much and as good as this one). So you can tell that it does indeed use a lot of money.
SE is no indie company, but they aren't magicians either. I wish people could be more appreciative of all the great things we're getting; it feels like SE has spoiled them too much.

But once again, it's a buisness not a charity. You pay a base game + a monthly subscription + expansions. They've got to put forward your money worth or people would just not stay on the game. It's what happened with the V1.Whether or not that's the case, it's undeniable that this game gets tons of updates. People are not so much spoiled as much as they expect the transaction to be worth it. And for the millions the game generate every month, the content they release every 3 month isn't really that grand when most of it mostly follows an unchanging roadmap with reskinned dungeons and very few new mechanics.
And like I said, that's not on the dev team, I'm sure they do their best with the manpower they've got and I don't want them to work their employees into the ground. But the compagny doesn't seems to invest enough in XIV considering the amount it must keep steadily generating over time.
Helluuuu i really liked the endgame![]()

Some have no idea how much work it is to create content, lol
This unfortunately has been the case since like forever but a large portion of our sub money goes towards funding other projects (this is known fact).
But that is business i suppose, but could imagine how much more we could have had budget been bigger, they could hire more people and add more content.

The problem is not adding Viera and Hrothgar. It's that now that they're here, every future gear will take more time to implement to include their body type, as will every future skill and emote. Which can be an issue if they want to keep the current pace for patches.I'm not so sure your mathematics here is correct. If hrothgar and viera were developed to the state they were now, but were given another expansion development cycle prior to their official launch then they wouldn't have to work on them from scratch, they'd be able to use the beginning of the next expansion development period to finish the features they'd already developed, instead of having to 'voluntarily' put in work in their free time
Frankly, since races offer nothing gameplay wise, I don't even understand why they're so adamant on adding new ones. XI lived peacefully with its 5 races from the very beginning.

Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.
