I just want the devs to finally have some kind of automatic bot detection. Maybe boot the botters out of the game as soon as it gets detected or something.
Also, telling people we should be grateful for the devs' hard work and recognize there are limits to what can be done at a given time doesn't make people yes-men or part of a cult. Honestly. Some of us have jobs and/or are creators ourselves. We recognize that managing budgets and time frames for as many staff as SE has is a big responsibility that effects ordinary people. Not every person at SE is a millionaire, and the people who are millionaires probably aren't going to be the ones losing the most sleep and struggling with impossible demands. You can be critical or have requests without being jerks to the people behind this game you enjoy.
This is a massively detailed game. Devs have literally gone behind Yoshi P's back to try and make sure players would have some headgear items for new races. Saying thank you for that is what normal people do.
He managed to make 50% of two different races just disappear so maybe he really does have an infinity gauntlet.
Just due to the work involved in the patch-by-patch upkeep, even if they had waiting for 6.0 we'd be in the same situation. Basically like he said in his letter, the only way we might get more races in the future is if the technology advances to a point where they can make the gear alterations more easily or they find a simple systematic shortcut. To add to the "They cant just magically add features" discussion. They also, whether 'voluntary' or not, should not be using their free time to implement basic features onto the new races. If such extra work is needed I'd have preferred any new races be saved for 6.0. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing that they went and did it, but they shouldn't have to.
The Avengers crossover isn't until SE finishes their spin-off, so if course he doesn't yet. Then they have to model the infinity gauntlet first before Yoshi can wear it.
Yes he does I gave it to him, why would you come here and lie op
I'm not so sure your mathematics here is correct. If hrothgar and viera were developed to the state they were now, but were given another expansion development cycle prior to their official launch then they wouldn't have to work on them from scratch, they'd be able to use the beginning of the next expansion development period to finish the features they'd already developed, instead of having to 'voluntarily' put in work in their free timeJust due to the work involved in the patch-by-patch upkeep, even if they had waiting for 6.0 we'd be in the same situation. Basically like he said in his letter, the only way we might get more races in the future is if the technology advances to a point where they can make the gear alterations more easily or they find a simple systematic shortcut.
If it IS impossible without out of hours work then I don't think adding more races was reasonable, or at least adding two races that BOTH required different unique work done to make gear usable on them wasn't reasonable.
He doesn't but his bosses do. At random they seem to wipe out half of the resources FF XIV receives! If the game didn't suffer from it I'd be impressed.
