I think it was a very reasonable and thorough response that took the time to address the various concerns people had. I hope it is the response people wanted and if not I hope they can some day move past getting worked up over something that might never happen. Enjoy what you have and if not then find something you actually enjoy.

I'm really happy to see they worked on the glasses and over 500 other head slot items. Which given the drama recently within the mod community that got exposed over on tumblr thank god he put his foot down on this. I'm glad FF14 isn't willing to cross that line.

After people spotted T'kebbe in Heavensward, we were given the opportunity to see another race's younger form (was only hyur children before). I believe many of us were happy with them including the younger modeled npcs, because it gives the world more variation and brings it further to life. However, some players then thought it'd be a great idea to be able to play as that younger type. I think there was also a request for a teenage size. Maybe players just want to be shorter, like female Au Ra's minimum height short?

Who said they pleased no one? Just because a group is extremely vocal about being upset doesn't mean those who are satisfied don't exist or are a minority.

There are players out there that don't play FFXIV because it doesn't have any beastial races. There is nothing that can fit that category for them. But on the other hand, those that wanted Viera still have other options if they weren't implemented. So since it's obvious that more people will play male hrothgar vs female hrothgar, and more will play female Viera vs male Viera. Their decision makes perfect sense to choose male Hrothgar and female Viera.
