to be honest a lot more are pleased then un pleased. Give them time and they will work it out. Demanding they do it now will not fix it. I played both 11 and the original 1.0 i dont care about gender locked races. You can still be all the jobs. They cant pull an unknown gender of a race the original makers have not even made yet without consulting them and getting their consent. Till there are males in the ivalice worlds i wouldn't count on them.

I see what you are saying. But what I was saying it was an odd decision to make two races with one gender. instead of one race with two. And we have all seen the male Viera concept art.

Its a old one and most likely the ivalice teams didn't approve of it. I'm sure once we seen them in a game set in ivalice you can look forward to them in this mmo. But for now just wait and be happy we have 2 new races that have a chance to be expanded on later. Be happy they giving us this not just recolored races like WoW keeps getting.

They still met two requests: players who've wanted Viera and players who've wanted bestial races. It's not like the devs gave us something people didn't ask for.

I mean the people asking for male viera are far greater than female hrothgar. Just by looking at the forums

I think it was a very reasonable and thorough response that took the time to address the various concerns people had. I hope it is the response people wanted and if not I hope they can some day move past getting worked up over something that might never happen. Enjoy what you have and if not then find something you actually enjoy.

I'm really happy to see they worked on the glasses and over 500 other head slot items. Part of me wishes that we actually got more actual news than just that, but I understand that instead he had to answer the questions with pretty obvious answers, at the insistence of some of the more vocal people.

This is the first time I'm really excited to enjoy everything there is to do as a viera bunny.

Who said they pleased no one? Just because a group is extremely vocal about being upset doesn't mean those who are satisfied don't exist or are a minority.

There are players out there that don't play FFXIV because it doesn't have any beastial races. There is nothing that can fit that category for them. But on the other hand, those that wanted Viera still have other options if they weren't implemented. So since it's obvious that more people will play male hrothgar vs female hrothgar, and more will play female Viera vs male Viera. Their decision makes perfect sense to choose male Hrothgar and female Viera.
