They should add a Weekly Savage Content Roullete

I like it. Especially since roulettes are optional.

If we can have a Main Scenario roulette rife with problems and say "don't do it if you don't like it", then the same could be said about a savage/extreme roulette.

Frankly, we need more challenging weekies. Remember when Stormbloods launch only had Susano and Lakshimi as challenging end game? Painful.

I'd settle for having a test run of Coil in the roulette. If people can do Binding, normal Second, and Final in a roulette, then maybe other high end duties can be included.

That said, unless the reward is really tempting, I don't think people will have enough patience to try such a thing synced with random people.

Personally, I don’t think it would be feasible to expect players to do something like T9 in synced roulette. Back when I did runs of it in HW for glamour, people could barely manage to do the meteors unsynced...

You might actually need a requirement of having completed that days instance for it to be viable, on top of an ilv and job crystal requirement.

There's a massive difference in skill among the playerbase. You have players who progress Ultimate and EX trials are nothing to them, and then you have players who honestly can't do more than half the required minimum to beat enrage. This is generally fine, different people enjoy different aspects of the game, except for the fact that the game gives you no indicators of your own ability. A lot of players get carried through a Normal trial and feel EX is the next small step, but what's actually required of them is worlds apart.

It would actually be cruel to openly invite the casual playerbase into an EX/Savage Roulette. They'd be kicked, abused, wipe endlessly and have no idea why. To beat EX/Savage, you have to want to do that content. It's not "hop in and see what happens lol". That's why strict requirements are fine, if you really want to do that content you'll work towards it.

A lot of extreme and savage contents get wasted after their tier is over. They are forgotten about and if anyone does them, they are usually done unsynced.

A roulette would let people do a random old one for fun, but with The Echo so that the mechanics are less consequential, devastating and deadly.

We could compare it to Tsuki and Suzaku normals which a lot of pugs wipe to several times, but which eventually clear with numerous deaths. You'd have to queue knowing there will be wipes but that people won't have to be hugely good because of The Echo allowing you to survive usually deadly blows.

This is actually a really bad idea because of the way jobs work at level 50 now. Job kits are essentially designed around level 70 so that would be the best test bed for such a roulette.

If I wanted to do EX primals that is ARR, HW, or any older content I'll just do Mentor Roulette which already has it's own benefits but its also the reason why it's so looked at with disgust, I don't know how many times I got Titan EX or Levi EX or Ramuh EX and people just won't listen or use Discord or wanna communicate. That and you have Mentors just outright leaving as soon as they see what fight it is they got leading you to wait for another body, no offense to people who que into it who have 0 idea of what's going on but 90% of the time its new people throwing their body at the boss and hoping they'll clear it, which I honestly don't want in this EX roulette.

I can only imagine doing like T7 sync'd and everyones hella stoned for an hour or doing T9 and everyone's dying to meteors if savage was in there it'd be nigh impossible.

The thing is mentor roulette can be almost anything. It might be EX content, but often it's not. Hence people leaving as soon as they see that.

If you have a roulette specifically for extreme/savage content, then people will have that expectation going in. They won't be hoping for a dungeon or a normal trial.

Only if it has the requirement of having beaten the content synched first. Just because I can slaughter Titan EX unsynched in a few minutes doesn't mean I can deal with him at level with seven other people.
