You got it!
You got it!
You got it!
You got it!Why you don't do it.
It's IN the game.Every things you do is related to a quest related to a quest related to a quest who is related to a quest related to a chara from MSQ. They said it, every quest is at some point related to another. This is why we have an encyclopedia.
Tanking.
... being a tank has allowed me to grow a nice sized community of friends, allowed me to take the Free Company on silly adventure's... enjoy a night of wiping before one shotting it the next day with the same people.
Nothing to me beats the sense of being in control that being a tank provides and for some reason it always feels easier to get people to join in content if you're a tank forming a group than any other role.
What else do I enjoy about FFXIV?
Doing silly things and taking screen shots of the shenanigans... Also dyeing everything Pink.Fave: Screenshots, the community, music and all the things you can do in game.
Hate: All the fetch quests, they take the fun out of the main storyline quest and turn it into a chore. If they would just reduce the amount required to progress and leave it to the important ones I'd be happy. Go get your own favorite food/random object NPC!

Chosing the part you want from all the post while taking out the answer you don't like still isn't how you do it.
Nice try though.
Edit : Weird because you didn't include a "I like MSQ" part. But fine if it please you. (beside the fact that this could coun't as a poll with this sample)

You don't get it. These are all diverse opinions. Continue to think the way you do, I don't consider myself delusional though. The only edits made were to shorten. I could put in more time, and gather more opinions off this very forum if this suits you. You want me to link to each individual post I will!

I WANT. Take all thread about MSQ and make a graph Red for ppl who want optional MSQ, Blue for no change. With all source of course. If you do this and it reveal ppl want optional MSQ i'll help you doing whatever i can to make MSQ optional. You don't get it. These are all diverse opinions. And yet it's still a raid content for the Alliance, not just Horde. The Alliance didnt have a story for Uldir because Uldir was a Horde story. Uldir's story was pretty much the end of most of the Hordes leveling story. I stopped playing some time ago but I would assume the raid with the queen will be Alliance centered from the fact allys were the ones that dealt the most with it(stormsong vally comes to mind). Pretty much every dungeon I can think of in wow had a story that started outside of the dungeon and lead you to completing that dungeon too. Those stories just were not mandatory to go into them. All that story is there for those that care, but can be skipped for those that dont.
And I hate the fact that stories are not required for dungeons and raids, especially when you get part of the story in the dungeon/raid itself. Even worse, the stories for the dungeons/raids are not even mandatory for zone/faction story completion, which means the story itself is broken because you can literally skip parts of it, especially if you missed out when it's current content.
And from what I can tell, the reason why they're not mandatory is because WoW players complain about being forced to do dungeons/raids. So while people here say stories should be separated from dungeons/raids because people just want to play MMO, people in WoW are saying they should be separated because they don't want to play with other people in PVE, lol.The problem with that is when you get situations like in WoW where things break because the quests are not connected. I missed out on Legion, but because I wanted to unlock some allied races, I had to do Legion content and I had to search around for what I needed to do and sometimes the information is out of date because it assumes you're playing while it's current content and not after the fact and going back.Keep the lvling story mandatory for ff14 but let players skip the max lvl stuff for past expac to go into the next ones lvling story imo. If you really want to know what happened in between, then it is still there to be completed and the rewards can still be gotten. For the current expac, leave it how it is with dungeons, raids, trials, etc being unlocked with the quests.
With FFXIV, every quest is connected nicely for the most part, and it'll stay that way regardless when you start playing or when you unlock that particular content barring some notable changes like Crystal Tower raid unlock, which the company would then send out a notice announcing the change.
I much prefer FFXIV's way where contents stay largely the same after it's put in the game and quests are connected nicely for the most part.
I was not refuting this point, I was refuting THIS assumption YOU made:
Egregious thinking, in the bold resized. And that's why there is so much prob out there. "There's people out there who honestly just want the raiding" but this game is not for that, the comu already hate the skip books .I don't rly care about ppl who just want the end game content but the fact they want too change the game is not welcolme by most. FF14 work with MSQ gate since is released ppl come and stay with this systeme and like it.
Well, it's certainly not relevant in WoW at least. Maybe another game does it better, but my level 120 WoW character apparently has done many things, except doing content from 1-100, which supposedly preceded the content I'm currently doing except I have nothing to show for them, just that the other NPC may or may not think I have done them as I am their Champion.

The foundation would not change the MSQ would still be present and the focus but would be optional. Think of it as a QoL change for example I already mash the eascape buttan when cut screen pop and click frantically when dialog boxes pop up. Making it optional out the gate just makes it less tedious, the aspect of contacting the story with the world will remain.
The story still works even though people skip cutscene and dialogue.
If it's optional, then it's not the focus. Savage raiding is optional, therefore it's not the focus. It's important, but not the focus. MSQ is not optional, therefore it is the focus.
