So arguments have gone from.

Male viera isn't demanded, to Male viera would be less popular than Male hrothgar, to people who want Male viera are a vocal minority, to people who have liked this thread don't actually want Male viera and would not fantasia.

Which is the same as saying: I don't want male viera. I think male hrotgar look better. I make my argument be that I think (with really no info to back up that) that they are a vocal minority. And finally since I can't find more arguments I say that while there is a huge amount of people that want and are being vocal about it (and even more that would play it) they aren't going to use it if they were added

Don't conflate a statement about people in your group with opposition to it, it's very possible to state facts (negative or otherwise) about a thing while not being against said thing.

I don't know why should I chill... I haven't really insulted anybody or at least didn't mean to, but I'll edit my post if it looks too aggresive.


Then as for your second point, yes ofc it is small, but the question isn't if its a majority, more so if it would make enough money to at least revert the cost of making them, which is extremely likely.
I have studied managing and I can tell you that there is one very interesting marketing trick more and more companies are doing recently: Tease something, don't release it, make customers mad, release it later and earn at least twice of what you were going to earn otherwise. Then another important thing is press, which can pretty much make or break an expansion (including news videos on youtube comments on posts etc) which has been extremely bad for their decision, but another tip is to get bad press, then do what ppl want and get absolutely amazing press for doing so.

That being said, by not having both genders at launch, wa SE to release them later they'd make a huge amount of money (probs that after them saying they aren't coming, male viera could get extremely close if not as much of money as females, and female hrotgar is extremely dependant on how they do it, but I think at least as much as male hrotgar) which probably means they are doing them


Also the reason why they haven't said anything can easily be yet another marketing trick which is to do a surprise release when ppl least expect it, so they might release them without warning whenever they are finished and that would take people by surprise, creating huge amounts of hype and money

To use "vocal minority" against the missing genders and only against the missing genders is kinda disingenuous. The bulk of active players were not clamoring for Viera or a beastly race. It was a vocal minority that got them on the table lol

To be fair, if you just read through the thread, minus the same 20 or so people, I would say about 70-80% of the people who have stopped by have said something along the lines of, "while I would personally not play them, I'm in favor of..."

Just because you like something doesn't mean you're gonna play it and that's the kind of feedback they're sifting through. Likes don't mean much if people aren't going to actually spend the money.

You're joking right? you can go on twitter and type in male viera and see multiple posters from months and months ago who were excited to try the game and buy it based SOLELY off of male viera. Either way that argument is ridiculous, that's like saying there's no point in making ultimates because they barely get played by anyone but top percentile players.

If you give people another reasonably attractive anthropomorphic race of course people will use it but in terms of actual demand it doesn't seem like there is mass unsubbing going on because of this. A lot of people who want to play a man with animal ears already do so.

There doesn't need to be mass unsubbing for it to equate to high demand though I think that's a fallacy in and of itself, I also think it's incorrect to say something like less than 80% of the likes on this thread are for people who wouldn't fanta to male viera, a lot of posts have shown they were going to fanta with partners.

I find it quite hilarious, really, since we know that the addition of f!Viera+m!Hroth was because of two vocal minorities, of which we don't know the overlap between each other. If we go by the other Viera threads, this (and the f!Hroth one) have gotten WAY more attention than any other thread asking for Viera or more bestial races. So two incomplete races were added bcause of two probably (although not very likely) overlapping vocal minorities, and now has a larger minority asking for the missing genders (if we go by the "larger part of the community doesn't care one way or another").

Not to mention, of course, the amount of people that don't use the forums, or doesn't personally affect them but is sure they'll add them eventually, or who doesn't care but maybe will try them out when they're released and maybe Fantasia their main or make an alt, or a retainer.

1.7k is still a lot of people who play this game, yes some may not even care, but I’m pretty sure majority do. I also believe that people mainly wanted vieras added just to see what the males would even look like, if there was a “minority” of people wanting this it wouldn’t of became such a big deal. I can’t say it will be popular or not but looking at how things are - miqote are the most popular, hyur and then au ra, elezens, roes. IN MY OPINION I think hrothgar won’t be as popular due to roes not being popular, they are very similar.. and judging on likes and comments can still make a different, who cares if it’s the same person? 1.7k likes (one of the most liked threads) is a lot, also people are starting to make an account for forums to add their opinion on the matter, which means not everyone uses it so there could be a lot more people out their then you think. This isn’t even close to being a minority vote. They should be added to make things right, even if people don’t play them (which I know they will definitely be played)

I forgot the post but I recall someone showing the sample size for there being a demand for male viera based on current population would be 384? if I'm correct. As much as it annoys me this thread has more likes and attention that BLU being limited, which was disliked in it's implementation even on reddit.

Nope, I rarely come to this thread actually. You don't see me spamming double post, filling up pages. I make a few post and drop out. Most of the time I come here there's been days worth of post after my last peek.

I do think that it is a majority who would be very happy to have male viera, and a huge amount of people would play them, while an extremely small minority is against it and there is also a decent amount of people who wouldn't mind. Judging by this I feel like SE might have already decided they are doing them. Hell even in the JP forums the male viera thread is one of the most liked ones
