Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Why should they nerf any of the prices though? Countless people got the achievements/items they wanted in the last couple years that the event has been out. If they cater to people who are late to the party, which there always be people who are late, then people will expect that with every event.
If they cater to the latecomers, I will be rather miffed with the decision to say the least.
Please show support for chocobo boots to be added -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/323512-Suggestion-for-an-item-to-be-added-to-gold-saucer-Chocobo-Boots
Unhappy with how they implemented Mahjong? -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/381358-Mahjong-is-the-most-depressing-mini-game-you-ve-added-to-XIV
I hope for the opposite... after 5.0 launches... increase the costs. So let's say it costs 1'000 wolf marks for a piece now, make it cost 10'000. And I speak as someone who doesn't have a single piece, so would definitely lose out. Will send a clear message too that the latecomers won't get what they want. Why should they nerf any of the prices though? White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
I have been playing PvP since I found out they were going away, and I am 5 wins off of the last mount ("Furious Fatalities" 55/60). I have hit 20k Wolf Marks twice since I started. There is definitely enough time right now to get everything. Why should they nerf any of the prices though? That is stupid as hell. With the new expansion there will be an influx of new/returning players who will just find out, or start finishing it up then and there. Last chance, just make it known.I hope for the opposite... after 5.0 launches... increase the costs. So let's say it costs 1'000 wolf marks for a piece now, make it cost 10'000. Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
The Makai gearsets available from either the Gold Saucer or PVP.
The GS versions are Lv1 glamour items, but the PVP versions are Lv60, dyeable, and have titles, achievements and mounts related to them if you collect a set and play a certain amount of PVP matches.
Thanks. Yes, MGP will be my preferred route for anything that I don't think needs to be dyeable. It's just annoying to have to decide and purchase it all now instead of waiting until I actually want to wear it.
