How are we supposed to compete with all the people house botting? I feel like the only way to get a house is to luck out find one when it goes up and before anyone gets to it click on it with the lot timer being available. That or get on after a maintanance before anyone else.

It's ridiculous if I see people standing at a house I don't even bother trying half the time. Good chance they are clicking a mile a minute with a bot.

I'm honestly not sure tbh, I was lucky enough to get mine on the first try with nobody by it.. Which was honestly pure freaking luck. I'm not defending SE on housing, it's a right mess. But this dude is trying to blame them for him making the choice to leave his house and server over something as silly as roleplay.

I know quite a few actual IT professionals for large companies that will happily state where they work and what they do. They have nothing to hide.

You seriously expect me to believe some random is an "IT Professional" as he claims to be without seeing any credentials or any sort of evidence?

Either way, YOU chose to transfer. SE didn't do anything. You are clearly NOT even in the IT field considering you clearly do not understand anything at all based on your posts so far. Working and being successful in IT involves being very logical, which clearly, you are not.

Square Enix forced us to move by turning our server into an RP server and moving the node it was on.

There are no official rp servers. The community decides where they rp, not SE.

Also how does a server having rp mean you have to move?

She's ready to quit the game altogether because of this nonsense. They could easily alleviate this or have planned it better. I am an IT professional for a fortune 500 and this is the most half baked, unplanned thing I have ever seen from a supposed professional company.

If you knew enough about the housing system you would know that there is a great risk of being unable to find a plot on your new home server, and that if you left a house behind the likelihood of you having to store furniture on retainers for a long time would be pretty high. Sorry but if you are such a professional in IT, then why didn't you do any research before moving?

The system is awful, I agree. But it seems like you didn't do your homework before transferring so you ended up making your situation worse by not informing yourself enough.

Um. This was planned months in advance (I wanna say at least since the begining of the year). Diagrams and multiple update posts have been released. The housing issue was addressed and their solution was to refund you for the plot and a little extra for the house (I assume for the permit) for relinquishing your land. I fail to see where this was poorly planned. Does it suck? For some, yes. I now have an alt on another datacenter that i can no longer have my fc help out. But its whatever. Im not sure where your salt is coming from. Housing was never transferable and you dont actually have to move. Im sorry for your loss but you chose to lose it.

The player base has offered suggestions, demanded that SE open a dialogue, pleaded on their hands and knees; SE's response: SILENCE. SE doesn't even want to listen to the players. People are leaving the game over this, and still SE remains silent. You can understand people's frustration. SE basically said that people had to choose between the servers they live on versus the servers of players they do content with; and people are ending up losing on both counts which is making people bitter. And the longer SE doesn't even try to talk to people, the more of the community will leave.

Statics and content still exist on every data center though. Those people who chose to leave decided to do so, they werent forced, and most did so much earlier on and were able to get houses. Once again this stigma that because balmung and mateus have roleplay that there would be no content was a player made excuse. This guy could have stayed on Diabolos and not have even dealt with any rpers... If this was his only reason, that they "Turned it into an RP server." It's quite childish.
