Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

We are traveling to a different shard, where life is parallel but not the same. Perhaps male viera are more visible.

Hmmm, I think there WOULD be rioting if a male showed up in 5.0 as part of the MSQ (although it would be pretty funny in that it'd invalidate the "but lore!" argument), but a male as part of a sidequest or even the MSQ in 5.1 or 5.2 would actually be reassuring, kind of like Fran showing up in the last tier of Ivalice to tease the Viera (before or after it's officialy confirmed males+femHrtoth are coming).

Even if there's a minor male showing up in a "glimpse and you miss it" part of a side-quest in 5.0 may not be so bad: I personally don't think they have time to cobble together resources to even modify an elezen or Au Ra skeleton before 5.0 release, but MAYBE they could pull a Yugiri on it; that is, have a male Viera/femHrothgar in "disguise" using a modified m!elezen/m!Au Ra/f!Roe and a hood to hide the ears, while they're working on a full model, and just replace the model when it's ready (like Yugiri used a modified miqo'te then her model was replaced when they finalized the Au Ra). This is, of course, conjecture and wishful thinking, of course.
