This phrase always makes me laugh. As though I'm not entitled to ask for something in a game I pay money to 1. purchase 2. purchase expansions for 3. play, as it's subscription based. Or take my money elsewhere if I'm dissatisfied with the product.
I mean, they're a company.Like SE actually care.
No, but there isn't only one of me. There never is. I'm not making claims about numbers or majority, but it's hardly going to be just me.
Uh, that's kind of by definition though. Granted the company is not obligated to respond positively, and I should decide what I do with my time and money in response to it. But the act of asking for something as a paying customer? Yeah...You're not entitled to ask for something in a game simply because you pay money.
And you'll notice there seems to be an exodus of players away from that game, or so I hear. Something about WoW refugees or what not.I played World of Warcraft for 14 years and the same crap happened there.
(X) DoubtI'm not trying to be rude

Also, just because it's not >50% doesn't mean it's just a hundred of angry players throwing a fit. Let's say... 30% isn't a majority but it's certainly a noticeable chunk of the playerbase.
You keep throwing that word around and I'm not even going to say it's not entitlement - as a paying customer I have a right to state my opinion and take actions as a result of the company's actions.ENTITLEMENT
Flaunt it all you want, it's not a bad word in this context.

What are you talking about? This is the equivalent of telling every customer that they shouldn't give feedback on cosmetic items that they would desire to have in the future. And instead, we should simply let Square Enix do what they desire without feedback or headway on what their customers would like to see.You can take your money elsewhere if you want. You not giving SE $13-15 dollars a month isn't going to make a difference in the long scheme of things. You're not entitled to ask for something in a game simply because you pay money. I played World of Warcraft for 14 years and the same crap happened there. SE and this game will be around long after you've gone.
I'm not trying to be rude in saying this, but it's true. Companies shouldn't have to acquiesce to a small minority simply because they're unhappy. ENTITLEMENT
Just imagine a shop owner simply stocking up basketballs when there's a good amount of people wanting footballs - but when those people ask for footballs to be stocked there's some other customer in the store who's stroking their basketball telling those who want the footballs that they're entitled.

People quitting or reducing expenditure on the game (in terms of fantasia sales, whether they stay subbed etc) is lost revenue however you look at it. Does it generate any obligation on SE to do anything? No. Does it mean they could potentially suffer losing out on profits they could be capturing if they add male Viera? Yes. If they didn't care they could simply ignore the issue entirely, which they've not.You can take your money elsewhere if you want. You're not entitled to ask for things, they're not entitled to your money flowing in their direction regardless of what decisions they make. Cuts both ways. No doubt you'll try argue the effect is too insignificant to matter, but you don't really possess any data to back such a point up.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
Because "WoW Refugee" is not a thing these days.../sYou can take your money elsewhere if you want. Seriously.. I am sick of seeing people refer to people who say they are leaving the game as saying they're entitled.
1. You cannot say that you are not trying to be rude when you are using a term with a lot of derogatory use these days in many forms of media.
2. What you are doing can be construed as "Entitled" as well. "How dare people threaten to unsub from a game that I like because they don't like the direction the game is going!" Does this sound ludicrous to you? Well it's exactly what you're implying BY using that term.
3. Whether not SE really feels this in the end of the day, the fact of the matter is that, for some people, it's important for them to do this for their own reason. And nothing would happen if they all decided not to do this.
4. Them unsubbing is NOT going to hurt you.
