Sony being extremely close minded when it comes to crossplay is common knowledge by now. So I'm asking you, what is more likely? Microsoft refusing to let other consoles mingle with theirs on FFXIV when they're fine doing just that with every other games, or Sony actually being the ones blocking the whole thing like they've done with every other games?
OK, but that wasn't the point I was making. The point is microsoft also requires Xbox only servers, in addition to crossplay functionality. You can't have crossplay on Xbox without Xbox only servers. What sony is or isn't saying doesn't matter in this case, because SE will not put the game on a system that requires its own servers. It's all or nothing.
