FFXIV on Xbox?

Dunno if someone did a thread like this one before, but...

Any chance to bring the Warriors of Light ('n Darkness) to the Microsoft side of the Console Force at any point in the future?

I saw some rumors on youtube about it, but dunno for sure...

There's a chance, FFXI did make its way to the xbox 360 after all. If it does happen, I'm pretty sure it won't be before the next Xbox launches.

Microsoft still needs to drop the gold requirement and "xbobx players can always play only with other Xbox players if they want" from their requirements.

That was the big thing years ago (dunno if it still stands) that Xbox simply said "We need our own servers"

That's a statement based on outdated info. That was their policies when the 360 was their current machine. Right now they are at the forefront of crossplatform multiplayer. In fact, it's Sony that doesn't want to do crossplay with other consoles.

i hope not its sad ff games and kh or going onto xbox kinda sad they going on pc to...

ff games belong on the ps systems and maybe Nintendo but not xbox same goes as kingdom hearts.

at least till xbox gives us fate on ps no ff games for them please beside Microsoft sucks

What you're talking about is more than likely a Squeenix quote from E3 2016 in which they claim that Microsoft supposedly didn't want to do crossplatform. Weirdly enough, 3 years later you have several game that are Xbox/Switch/PC/Mobile crossplay compatible. All those games are also available on the PS4 but they can only be played between PC and PS4 users, locking out every other platforms at Sony's request. So I would take that original Squeenix quote with a grain of salt. Either way, that's 3 years old info, which somewhat classifies as outdated.
