I feel as if these forums encourage people too much to not use tank stance. What I hope to encourage people to do is to use tank stance more, and I'm not just talking about large mob trash pulls, i'm talking about bosses.

I think a lot of people miss the context that we exclude levelling dungeons with this ideal.
You mentioned your tank wasn't up to ilvl. The dungeons that don't have a minimum ilvl is levelling dungeons. The level cap dungeons are fine for liberal use of offensive stance. Levelling dungeons are not recommended to do this unless you know what you're doing and your party is up to snuff.
