There are many people queueing directly for older raids or the new alliance raids, wether it is for quests, gear, glamour, or minion rewards. They are not queueing with the Alliance Roulette. Alliance Roulette's sole purpose is to help fill the queue for these people. Alliance Roulette's purpose is not for you to get additional rewards when running Orbonne Monastery. The reward for Alliance Roulette are the Roulette rewards, not the drops of whatever Alliance Raid you join into. Further, Alliance Roulette also offers a good junk of XP, and many players use it to level their jobs (or returner that gear up through Stormblood raids). Your chance to get Orbonne Monastery in Alliance Roulette is inherently the lowest.

You have no argument here, as you completely ignore the intended purpose of alliance roulette, and the people queueing for it.

i understand what you are saying, but you aren't following. there are people queuing the Alliance Roulette and are outright stripping their gear to manipulate the results of that roulette. and all for the purpose of simply getting an easier/faster run. we all want the rewards on the roulette, it is why we do it. but that doesn't mean everyone appreciates the possibility of content that is most relevant to them to be potentially taken away from them. and, mind you again, not because of RNG. but rather because of someones choice to manipulate the roulette.

so, even with your point... say i strip down to the lowest possible AIL. this gives the roulette only TWO possible choices. say you are queuing for the 3rd Alliance Raid in the game. that means you will potentially sit there longer while i potentially take away 23 people from your Alliance. it will be impossible for me & you to get grouped together, and therefore also impossible for at least 23 other people to be grouped with you as well. i don't know how many people average the Alliance Roulette queue pool per hour, but i am willing to bet taking away 23 people is going to have an impact. this is especially true depending on the time of day/night you play. and still yet especially true if your data center isn't as heavily populated.

this is true. it is why i changed my wording to manipulate.

and even though manipulating the Trials Roulette isn't going to have an impact on the possibility of someone getting loot that is relevant to- WELL, some trials in the roulette do have loot, but i don't think the relevance for that loot goes beyond personal desire for something say, like a glamour. regardless, manipulating the results of that roulette will potentially have an impact on people queuing for a Trial at higher AIL than the threshold you created to not go above.

Further, the dungeon is chosen before the queue pops. You can, after all, get a "time-elapsed" queue to pop for you - changing your itemlvl will at that point not alter what raid you join.
no, no. you misunderstand. what i meant is that the leader initiated a Ready check, and the character in front of me stripped down before hitting Ready.

P.S. i seem to have reached my daily post limit... didn't know such a thing existed. LOLOL
