Their low birth-rate, however, is even mentioned in the Lore book, and this page even uses citations from said book, as a thing of the miqo'te in general. Moonkeeper males can be very numerous...as other PCs, if you try looking for Male keepers in-game, there'll be 3 or 4 at most.

Now I do remember seeing this.
Though this is just for moon keepers not male miqo'te as a whole.

There can still be quite a bit of moon miqo'te males running around though just because one family only has like 2 to 1 males.

Hmm, well calll me stubborn but just because their are more female than male, doesn't really mean the males are rare. I just means that their are a ton of females, like I remember seeing a video about a state or country somewhere in the EU that this places has a very large female percentage compared to the male pop; its not saying males are rare, its just they're a tons of female.

Unless stated otherwise that male miqo'te as a whole, are rare just like they said for the female hrothgar, my mind is set.

As for Hrothgar, if one of the two playable tribes is known for essentially abandoning their people's tradition and a unique coat color you'd think they'd have some females around to keep their population somewhat stable. Short of a lion man's fur instantaneously turning pale the moment he says "Serving a queen aint really working for me", how do the Lost keep their tribe going (outside potential halfbreeds)?

If the females that rare then full blood hrothgar must be a rare thing unless they like...you know....or the same female breeds with a bunch of different other males.

I expect a lot about them will remain an unknown until we either get to Ilsabard(since we don't know how applicable anything about the Ronso will be), or until Encyclopedia Eorzea III comes out. For all we know Gunnhildr was a warrior-queen with a big group of male concubines, and that's been a staple since.

I actually really hope we get to see their heartland, because I'm imagining a giant nordic palace with gunblade-wielding royal guardians lining the central chamber to the throne. Hulking viking cat men just sounds like a great concept.
