Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Just to play devils advocate a bit, and I've made this point before. But lets assume that it is a lore reason for a moment (it's not, but lets assume).

What in the lore has to be changed to make Male Viera available? When all they have to do is continue to tell the story. For example in the trailer we see a wooded area that is being decimated by.. something. It's either part of Gridania or it's part of the Greatwood (Viera home area) and if it is indeed part of the Greatwood, then that is a perfect reason for male Viera to begin venturing out, to help in protecting their home/s.

No change.. no retcon. A natural progression and evolution of the story that offers an organic introduction to the previously unseen male Viera.
