But you could say the same thing about making them buff. Put Gold Saucer bunny ears on your Highlander and give him red eyes and white hair. Boom. There ya go. Instant buff bun bro. (Also I like Cat Daddy's ears as they are. He doesn't need rabbit ears as well.)I wouldn't say it's 'perfect'. It's virtually no different a Miqo'te other than having bunny rather than cat ears. Something a bit more different would be preferable. If that's what some you want, you can get virtually the same effect by sticking the bunny ears from The Gold Saucer onto a Miqo'te.
Well, no - you couldn't. None of the artwork for Viera men that has been posted looks remotely like a Highlander. Meanwhile, a lot of the artwork posted for 'smaller' Viera men is quite objectively just a Miqo'te look-alike with bunny ears stuck on. Let's not be disingenuous.

I think that's a subjective viewpoint. Miqo'te are actually relatively muscular. Maybe not like Highlanders, but they have v-shaped, athletic, classically handsome, heroic physiques reminiscent of a typical shonen hero. Think Deku, or Naruto, etc. etc. I'd even go as far to compare them to the likes of Indiana Jones or Tom Cruise from Mission Impossible, too! The thin Viera fanart that I've seen mostly hasn't looked like that. What are Highlanders but tall, muscular humans? That's what the muscular versions people draw also look like. Ergo, you put the bunny crown on a Highlander, and it's the same idea. Let's not be disingenuous.Well, no - you couldn't. While I can't speak for Theodric, my problem with that particular fanart is the face shape. Going at least by the female Viera models, that fanart's face is much more Miqo'te than it would ever be a Viera. Then you also have the face paint which is similar to things that already exist on Miqo'te.
I feel like the debate has needlessly expanded beyond that particular fanart to race generalizations, but maybe it's just me ^^;

First I want to clarify why I'm participating in this discussion. It's for two reasons: 1. It's fun, and 2. It's my twisted way of helping to keep this thread visible. Though admittedly, there are probably better ways to go about that.While I can't speak for Theodric, my problem with that particular fanart is the face shape. Regarding your main point, I can see why that would be an issue, but you have to remember that this is just fanart. The devs are likely not going to use any of it as official concept art and they'll likely want the guys to match up well with the girls. They'll probably make them look somewhat rabbitlike, but who knows. This is assuming they even develop them at all. So yeah, this debate is entirely pointless. It isn't just you.
