The more I think about it DNC could have been our first physical ranged healer to break up the fact that all healers so far are magic ranged.

Instead of using magic to DPS like WHM/SCH/AST do it could have still kept its chakrams and used special attacks with them to DoT and do direct damage while using dances to heal/support.

What a missed opportunity :/

Chemist might be another option that could be made as physical ranged healer.
Some of its main abilities might revolve around mixing different potions to create stronger abilities with different healing, buffing, or damage effects, either target-based or environment-based (like ground AOE).
