I would like to show my support for the Devs and the gender-lock of the new races.

Er, It's a visual medium, and your character is literally what you stare at the entire time you play.
Every piece of content played on your character is done with your character, MSQ cutscenes, raids, even the gear is displayed on your character.
"cosmetics" are a huge part of an MMO whether you like it or not, people have a right to be disappointed that Yoshi and co. decided to make gender locked races, despite previously stating that that's poor design regarding 1.0.
If you think you get more game content if the devs don't work on another two races for 6.0 then I'm sorry my dude but that won't cut down on good content, HW and SB were vastly different yet despite a higher budget for SB and no race a vast amount of players will tell you HW was their favourite expansion.

Again; they had to choose between Hrothgar male and female, or Hrothgar Male and Viera female due to the lack of dev time. No matter what they choose, there would be backlash anyways.

So, for me, all this exaggerated drama is pointless. I just expect them to release the rest when they have enough time, that's all I can do for now.

Also, if you played FFXIV for a long time, these changes won't affect your gameplay, since you've been playing with the race you choose. The new races are just an optional add-up to your experience, so there's no point on being that mad over something that will eventually get fixed in future updates/expansion.

I saw very small amount of people who were absolutely selfish and asked for them "gimme right now" tbh, compare to whole group ofc. People are mostly talk about 6.0 or even 7.0 or just use "in future" instead of concrete period. Saw some talking about 5.x but...uhm... don't think it's possible even in theory. In general those, who asks for this, are quite polite and reasonable.

The other thing is that Yoshida said about feedback not for nothing. He is still not main person in SE, he can't just take as much money as he want to for our game. That said, I highly suspect that he will probably need to prove to his bosses, that community really wants to see other two genders in the game for being able to receive resources for it. That's why keeping this topic up is important. Still, it does not excuse any weird arguments that some people use. Nor does it excuse insult to DevTeam and other players. It's selfish and dirty.

I'm the first one that wants more races because of variety. I've been Lala since 1.0 and won't ever switch, yet I want more races and will keep supporting it. But I understand Dev's limitations, and people should respect them instead of treating them disrespectfuly.
