Today I just log in, see the cheerful Christmas Music, go do the Rain Deer outfit, then I just log off. What have FFXIV become? Many of us want the game to be truly amazing and fun to play. It been a years now and I'm still bored out of my mind. I can't do any of the Primal Battle because it need 8 people, same with Moogle. Ifrit is frustrating then fun, then the Moogle one is just the same repeat contents. What is with FFXIV instances? In 1.21 they say we putting in more Instances, 2 of them!!! Didn't even put a smile on my face at all because Instances in FFXIV is the worst kind I have see in any MMORPG. What is with Instance and time limit rushing through everything and touching stuff. Yeah that's a lot of fun.

Sucks...all i wanted was the game i bought. Maybe we can have some good news regarding it after all next year...FFXI endgame rework might be finishing around march so we might have Tanaka free to resume the original FFXIV as a spin-off by then...
    How easily can people forget...

Honestly a lot of that group content, moogle is an exception, feels more like a temporary patch to me. They're adding in stuff to keep us occupied for the next 10 months while they write V2 and not trying to create a massive amount of new play content that will get scrapped or have to be updated for 2.0. Don't get me wrong I hear you, and I want the XIV version of dynamis with 2 - 4 full alliances in a zone filled with uber mobs and awesome but painfully rare drops. I'm just honestly not expecting to get it till late next year at the earliest.

I'm not expecting it either and that's what makes me angry and be mean on these forums from time to time. Hell I'm not even sure it's going to happen in 2.0! Version 2.0 sounds more like an excuse to shove problems away for a long period of time.

Well said, even though the game was not what I expected, I have joined a very nice LS and made alot of good friends. They are very helpfull and we do events together from time to time.

Alot of us keep playing this game because the nostalgic effect from XI or the unique graphics/atmosphere of XIV, but even that is not enough anymore.

What I and most of the player who wants to give the game a chance will prolly do is keep hanging until 12.1. However, if its still lackluster then I might quit for a while.

Many other "polished" options will be available by then like Tera, Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, Rift or the tons of good console games.

I will defintly be around when 2.0 come out. That being said, my utmost consern is this :

On a side note, I believe that SE should pump more devs into XIV, because even though the game is improving, its being done very slowly.

I play because popular games are usually filled with chumps and mediocre retards. Much like these forums. So when I want to have fun and enjoy my time with a game I love being where its taken, I play XIV. When I want to play WoW via Text I come here.

As someone who played enjoyed crafting in XI so much that I only made it to level 60 before maxing out all of my crafting skills. Making gil was challenging since it cost a lot to level. People in my linkshell could usually find me pretty easy standing at the same spot every day selling things at the AH.

I was hoping for the same thing with XIV. The mini game was great at first and became a single button spam with the same unbalanced leves a year later. I haven't even tried to sell anything really and still have millions of gil. I like goal oriented content and the best thing to work for as a crafter is just basically re-leveling said craft.

I guess people enjoy the battle content more than I do and most of the updates are geared toward that. If that was my cup of tea maybe I would consider sticking around.
