Actually, WoL ends up engaging in innuendo and flirted with. One off the top of my head is a miqo'te prostitute who wishes you to engage her services, another is one saying she doesn't mind if you watch her bathe as you're nice looking.
And not going to lie - the idea of something 'childlike' like that having to 'breed' with something like a female Viera that we've seen? Just no. 100x no. NO into oblivion. Screaming at Zodiark no.

I sincerely feel like you're taking something absolutely and totally out of context. We don't even KNOW if the smaller rabbit race is an option for us. Again, if male Viera of Fran's type are supposed to be protectors and more feral, there is no natural reason for the sexual dimorphism to impact them in a way that makes them smaller. And why is this the hill to die on if Lalafells can already engage in the same risky, optional banter? They're not children and no one is actually detailing or providing media of anything sexual for these characters. No one is asking you to think of ANY of these races breeding! Considering that isn't even a function of the game, that really and truly should not impact playability of a gender in a race!

My partner I unsubscribed for the time being, and probably won't be back unless they add the other genders, male Viera and female Hrothgar because of how appalled we are at this decision. And nobody can say we weren't dedicated to or didn't care about this game. We started playing this game about a year ago, and between us have played over 2000 hours and created over 30 characters. I have never played any game in my life as much as this one (around 1000 hours). Prior to this fanfest we had been working on leveling every DoW/DoM job on our mains. We were very dedicated to this game.

We're unsubbing and I'm commenting on forums because this is only way we can voice our extreme displeasure with the product we were paying for. We have both played a lot of mmos and prior this fanfest we truly believed and advocated that FFXIV was the best one. We truly believed that this dev team was better than this. But we simply cannot support this extremely sexist genderlocking. And I doubt we'll be back until they add they other genders.

I was responding to what you said; you mentioned the sexual 'activities' or lack thereof and the likes in-game, I responded. with instances where it does indeed happen. I didn't take anything out of context. They look like children to me. While they may be adults in regards to age, to us, out of the game - they look like children. That's the issue. I don't mind if they're smaller. You're assuming I like lalafells engaging in this activity as well. I don't.

Visually, they are closely linked with the official Feol art that we do have. Considering there is an equally diminutive female character, it's HIGHLY likely that is Feol sub-race art. Especially when you look at the fact that there is a leaner, taller variation of the male concept art that looks more like Fran's variation. If you take into account that male Viera of Fran's race are said to be more primal, it makes little sense to have the dimorphism impact the males in a way that scales them down. It makes the most sense with the paired smaller rabbbits to be Feol.

That's just concept art they trashed when they weren't sure if they wanted to be faithful to ivalice viera or make their own, it doesn't have anything to do with feol.

Feol have softer features but they are actually very tall next to an average human. The female viera are both clans not Feol.

If they implement male viera they will be the male counterparts of female and close to Aura/Elezen body.

If they have extra resources they might add some little differences but nothing that could make the need to work on armors.

Let's not fight about it between us, if we get viera we'd already get a lot.

Think we've already mentioned several times that lalafel make a good number of people uncomfortable already. We don't need Questionably Legal 2: Electric Boogaloo.

I'm in support of the Devs and whatever choices they make. They chose not to add Male Viera because based off the written lore and world building they are never seen and it remains consistent with previous Final Fantasy games. I am also in support of adding male viera in but i would like to see it written well and to address the elephant in the room i've seen a few times skimming. It's not Homophobic or sexist that they didn't include male Viera. It's already been established via the world building and written lore of other games. If they choose to add them? Fine. I am all for adding things if they make logical sense and more options isn't inherently bad.

TLDR: It's not sexist or homophobic because male viera weren't added. It's fine to be disappointed about it but at least they added Viera?I mean people were wanting that forever now its a huge mess because they followed something they wrote.

Having no male Viera or female Hrothgar is such a huge step back for gender identity. Instead of a hard choice of slender graceful women or big beefy men AGAIN, it would be much better to have more variety of body choice. Pretty bunny men and strong lion women would be great!

Also maybe it's just me but i prefer my fantasy world to be its own world rather then based anything off real life with the whole gender politics shit involved but you do you. Not a cup of tea i care to try TBH and no i'm not against more options as long as they make bloody sense and don't break established lore including the world building and if it is a big deal

I'm all for male Vieras, by the by... but does anyone have a source on when they said they wouldn't genderlock things anymore? Not trying to justify it, but I'm looking for info on if they ever said they would not do such a thing.
