I see nothing anywhere about the Feol Viera having to look like they're underaged infants, either. Just that they're blonde, which this one is not.
We already have gone through enough with the Lalafels. The fact that there are people in this game that want more underage-looking avatars makes me wonder what weirdos I'm sharing space with.

I mean.. that wasn't even the point you were trying to attend to to begin with. You said "Those two things are not the same race. At least not at the same stages of sexual maturity. Disgusting." I pointed out that they are Feol Viera - which may be a standard look for them, especially considering the only official art we have of Feols make them smaller and softer than Fran's type of Viera. If Feols were even on the table, you wouldn't have to roll one. We don't even know if we're getting female Feols though, so that's an entirely different conversation. The Male Viera being asked for, right now, are suitable counterparts to the ACTUALLY announced Viera - not possible ones. It would be a huge leap to assume people are fighting for male Feols right out of the gate.

Additionally, our characters can't have sex or engage in anything sexual, so their sexual maturity is an odd topic to bring up at all.

I was sad about the genderlocked races, particularly viera females only. Male Viera was not promised but I still put it on the dev's which only set myself up for disappointment. I'm sorry and hope there will be a possibility of being one in a future expansion. Thanks!

Actually, WoL ends up engaging in innuendo and flirted with. One off the top of my head is a miqo'te prostitute who wishes you to engage her services, another is one saying she doesn't mind if you watch her bathe as you're nice looking.
And not going to lie - the idea of something 'childlike' like that having to 'breed' with something like a female Viera that we've seen? Just no. 100x no. NO into oblivion. Screaming at Zodiark no.

well yea i understand that, but if we would take the feol viera as the counterpart for the current female viera, it still would feel like an unfinished race to me
i think we should focus on the counterparts from the current races, the female viera/male hrothgar that we have

As someone who would love Feol, I have to agree. I would be perfectly okay with a male Viera that is literally just the male version of what we have for female Viera: soft but mature facial features, athletic body, and similar height range. (Though I'd love if the min/max height sliders were inverted. Men of most races have have higher maxes while women have lower mins. Would love to see the men be the shorter max here, just by as much as a head's measurement, nothing drastic.)

that's not what a feol viera is.. they aren't shorter, they only have shorter ears.

Visually, they are closely linked with the official Feol art that we do have. Considering there is an equally diminutive female character, it's HIGHLY likely that is Feol sub-race art. Especially when you look at the fact that there is a leaner, taller variation of the male concept art that looks more like Fran's variation. If you take into account that male Viera of Fran's race are said to be more primal, it makes little sense to have the dimorphism impact the males in a way that scales them down. It makes the most sense with the paired smaller rabbbits to be Feol.

I personally would love to see male viera, because of the fact we've never seen them could open up a world of possibilities, and in general why does lore from other games matter.

Best option would be to not make a Feol Viera then, if we even get them. They're entirely different from what we've been shown so far - just like the miqote races are different.

There is a fundamental difference between the Feol and the Viera. Take this explanation:


Nowhere in this explanation does it say that male and female Feol look like children. That second picture on the first page looks like a child. That is what people are getting at.

Your argument for the Miqo'te races is also that they are different. That is true, but literally the only differences in appearance are tendencies toward darker colors and their eyes.

Think of it like this: If male Viera were midlander Hyur built, male Feol would likely be Miqo'te built. And keep in mind that the pictures you see above is comparing a GIANT Viera (have you seen how tall Fran is in-game?) to a smaller Feol, who is probably still the height of a midlander male. If they're supposed to be smaller and "cuter," there are ways to do that. Look how cute you can make a male Miqo. They don't look like children.

1. I stand by exactly what I said. The males in that picture look underage.
2. The Feol only have shorter ears and blonde hair.
3. Underage-appearing characters shouldn't be an option on the table at all. We already have the Lalas to deal with, who get dragged up and down the block as it is.
4. There are plenty of sexual themes in this game, many things that I would be incredibly uncomfortable seeing happen to the WOL if they looked like a child. No outright sex =/= child-friendly. Don't play dumb.

They can add both there is purebread viera and half breed viera known as the Feol who are cute

Feol are a mixed race though, and specifically a mixture between a viera and a aegyl(Feolthanos) so they couldn't be feol exactly since yoshida has stated adding mixed races is difficult.
