Second thing, thanks to Reddit u/Drazzan we have this small excerpt from the Chronicles of Light foreshadowing (SEE THAT PUN?!) Shadowbringers.

A lot of things come to my mind on this topic, because the narrator is thus in the future compared to the WoL / WoD, it involves public knowledge "As we all know well" and the approach to Darkness "would fall to- nay, embrace abyssal Dark".
Plus the comments about our adventures "moving, riveting, strange and wondrous".
And then the broken part that prevents us from understanding well the last sentence.

Are there direct translations of the full Japanese text from the extended and/or final versions of the trailer? When Y'shtola says "until our friend returns", I'm wondering if the original text wasn't something more like "joins us", because if time travel isn't involved, the scene in the burning village is probably happening right about now, before we get called.

If that isn't the case, then we probably take a short visit to the First in 4.56, and meet up briefly with Y'shtola and Urianger.

The only embellishment in that particular line vs the JP script is the word "friend" in place of "that person." Probably refers to the WoL either way, though.

Hmmm. I think "returns" can just broadly mean being reunited here. In French Y'shtomatoya says roughly the same thing, I'm believing she just means that. "Until we are together, I will stay here."
But I would be interested to red that literal translation from JP.


I guess the call has sent a bunch of Scions on the First to do their dark magic and bring back the balance there, and it's implied it will be our turn soon.
But being a stron Echo user, I guess we will have more explanations (maybe tomorrow) about the process of this World warping with the "voice" that called us. The last trailer shows that person (who could be Graha Tia) with that representation of the different shards around the source that we saw in the end of 4.5 trailer, with the WoL standing there (I assume it's part of 4.56 MSQ cutscenes).

My newest concern is... Garlemald. Because, from the last Keynote, we have no business with them in 5.0 it seems. So are we dealing with them tomorrow on the battle field and it pushes that story back in 5.X patches ?
I'm really curious.
