We are going to the greatwood. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Male Viera as enemies.

Hello, if you're reading this, then you should know this isn't part of the post.

They also made very sure to emphasize in the keynote that only playable Viera would be Female (and vice-versa for Hrothgar), so that emphasis points even more strongly that we will probably see them at some point.
That said, I feel like if they show male Viera/female Hrothgar too much, it'll just increase the pressure even more. The more emphasis they put on them, the more I'd take it as a sign that they plan to work on the opposing genders eventually.

Given that the city, Crystarium was based off a Tech Demo, don't discount "old" as not factoring in for concept artwork. Also it seems don't understand what "concept art" is on both sides of the argument.
This is more polished and shown off stuff in the guise of "concept art" A majority of concepts never see the light of day due to NDA,MNDA and possible copyright issues among various other things.
Heavily sketchy concept sketches isn't "polished" if it was the models would be cleaner looking then they are.Given that the city, Crystarium was based off a Tech Demo, don't discount "old" as not factoring in for concept artwork. And
You clearly don't know what cycles mean in game development terms then. This art work was done up before Heavenward came out, which was three years ago. That's an eternity in games management.

Completely ignoring the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVhEvarOkdQtech demo that was now used as a city in the next Xpac. A tech demo from 2005Heavily sketchy concept sketches isn't "polished" if it was the models would be cleaner looking then they are.

Not necessarily an eternity and as I just said, this stuff was polished enough TO be shown, that's my entire point. It's not exactly "concept art" 3D models don't matter at this point since it's not shown for various other reasons. They cited time as a factor for the release of a half race.
Not to mention saying 3 years is an eternity is silly since FFXV was saying they needed more time and ONLY had 3 years of dev, when they wanted more time, but due to various other factors such as not having the work done completely, changing of direction ideas, and then also translating (redoing the game for a new console) also took away that time.
I'm saying that people running behind either camp trying to use it as an excuse is just that, an excuse. We aren't all behind the closed doors of dev and can only go by what they say.

A tech demo is not a fully fleshed out anything. It's just there to do as the name says. If it ends up being used, great! But there's a lot of concept trailers that go literally nowhere. The point is to show off, not be a "Confirmed!" kind of thing. Remember that awesome game Agni's Philosophy? Of course you don't because it's just a tech demo.
