Don’t care about male bunnies or no new healer. Are they going to fix the whole situation with the MacOS client, Metal API and the 32 to 64 bit thingie?

Yay! More people are talking! I feel like the night before going to Disneyland lol. Anyway, like I mentioned in the other thread, the new worlds look fantastic! They have soo much more fantasy put into them that I cannot stand it. Gah! And also the dwarves! I have sousing to meet! And those chubby kitties look too well done for them to not have an interesting roll in the MSQ. And if the first shard is supposed to be completely consumed by light I am curious as to how all of these people are still alive there?I mean the WOD made it seemed like err'body ded.. Or are we sort of going in time? So many questions...Ugh, I just can't wait

Hmmm.
I reckon you feel that way about the towns -- Crystarium included --because it is quite likely you were unaware of the massive excitement that SE stirred back in 2005 with that Rapture video. To be able to finally have that city within reach is very special to those of us who remember that period... you see, Rapture was the original development name for FFXIV.
Allow me put a few things into context for you... the PS3 was still a year from release, FFXI's TOAU expansion was also a year out and WoW was only eight months old with its cartoonish graphics. And then SE unleashed this video with insane graphics (for it's time) which made everyone from players to the press go insane with speculations... the city itself became a symbol of how a Final Fantasy MMO town should and could look like.
And now we're a few months away from being able to finally explore and utilize it... FF fourteen, finally gets that city fourteen years later. That's much more than a "meh" for me.

I'm still very new to FFXIV....like, 34 days in, give or take. So of course I'm very excited about Shadowbringers. Watching the trailer is what got me to try the game, and despite not knowing who the people were at the time, or what was going on, I got goosebumps watching it.
I found a game with fun combat, a great story, and probably the best community in any MMO. I played ESO right before this and that community is toxic as you wouldn't believe. (PS4, anyway.) Nothing but racial slurs and political nonsense in chat. Hate whispers constantly. And I still feel FFXIV has the best community, even though it's disheartening to see so many here threatening to quit over something optional like a race or class. I think players let their expectations get out of control and convinced themselves of something based on past development comments.
But then again, I also haven't been playing for 5 years. Still, seems odd players would throw in the towel over something like this. ESO for example was extremely toxic and was basically broken...bugs that have lasted for years without being addressed and crazy lag despite having the best Internet connection money can buy. At times, it's truly unplayable...but quiting over an optional race? Hard to wrap my mind around it...especially since you can be everything on one character anyway and race choice is largely cosmetic here.
But I'm in full hype mode for this expansion. I just got my BLM to 70 and can continue the msq, and I'm leveling a samurai...and I'm finding that to be one of the most satisfying melee classes (or jobs I guess) I've ever played.
Looking forward to the 26th as much as Shadowbringer release!

I'm pretty meh on stuff shown so far, but not because I don't want to be excited, I just can't get too excited about these vague overtures. Like on paper, I am a big fan of rebuilding ishgard (and more content for crafters and gatherers in general) and the few tidbits they've teased about the job reworks. And the story will probably be good, but excitement for that probably won't hit me until after Tuesday and the job stuff until May when we get the long liveletter. I'm just too nervous about them screwing samurai up because I think the kit right now is close to perfect (in terms of how it plays).

Oh no, I did, I juuuust wasn't a fun of rapture or the concept to begin with as it gave me XI feels, and I wasn't a huge fan of XI. I'm happy for anyone who was excited about it just not my cup of tea, but granted I also largely disliked the stormblood zones as well. Ala mhigo felt tooo bland for me. I haven't really been too excited about towns/zones since HW so take what I say with a grain of salt honestly. I think a lot of the zones are too over saturated but it's probably just my edge showing.Hmmm.

I will say when memory of wind started playing I felt a literal pang in my chest, 3's always been one of my favorites.

I'm more excited about all the QoL's they're gonna add/sneak into the expac. There are some I know that are not coming, like extra CC presets but there's generally a good chunk of QoLs that do end up coming on day 1.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

From what i have seen i am mostly positive, Its not all for me. But that is good as well, hopefully i can catch up before it all arrives and i can get stuck into it when its live.

You weren't a fan of FFXI? Interesting.
I understand Ala Mhigo being bland... we all lamented that here on the forums... but for Crysterium, you don't you find it at least a tad bit fascinating...?
